I can confirm 100% that this video is inaccurate. All the cards DO NOT FIT in the final product. Followed it to a T and I still can not fit the entire mage action card stack and the entire wild hunt stack. They must be using thinner 50-60 micron sleeves like sleeve kings and NOT the premium 100 micron sleeves provided in their campaign. I must 3D print a new card insert I guess
Yes, that's probably the sleeves thinckness issue. I was able to fit everything in a similar way as shown in the video with small changes (e.g. I had to put my witchers' starting pile into the place where the video shows the standard action cards). I used sleeves of 50 microns thickness
We did not pay for the big box for the box itself. We payed for a storage solution that makes setting up the game easier. However, the sleeved cards (with the sleeves from the Kickstarter campaign) do not fit into the box and even if they did the storage solution for the cards is a bad design. I expected separate slots for different cards types and got few bigger slots that do not serve the purpose of making the setup easier. Why not create a box in which for example the starting cards and school trophies for different characters fit into their own slots because that's how the setup works anyway?
Thanks for taking the time to post this video. Unfortunately, it does not work and we’re left with at least 30-40 cards without a home. The big box does not fit all of the contents of the game. It’s not physically possible unless you get very creative with how you decide to store the cards. The action cards do not fit in the tray. Period. I wish the company would just acknowledge the issue, even if they don’t provide a solution. This makes me very hesitant to buy any game from them in the future, since they intentionally continue to make false claims about their product.
Not sure what you are talking about. I sleeved every card for the All in Big Box and managed to fit them all. I didn't follow this example. I arranged them according to expansions and categories, put counters in baggies, fit all the extra dice, deluxe coins and three sets of poker dice (one I had from a previous Witcher game) in their soft bags.
@@Travolta77 mhmmm. I ended up finding an extra box I use for other hobby TCG to put the other 200+ sleeved cards which was the city and wild events and all the quest cards. Now the big box isn't all tightly fitting where there is potential to damage the cards in the arrangement in the video, it is now more loose fitting with breathing room
How long did it take you to figure out how to get all the cards into the box? You didn't include instructions with the game. Where does Mounted Eredin go? Where do the four sets of Witcher dice go? Where do the tokens go? Where does the bag of metal coins go? It's not possible to fit all the content into the Big Box. Edit, forgot the bag of metal coins that doesn't fit either.
I am really disappointed with how much trouble this big box is, even if one day I can figure out how to fit everything inside (unlikely). I wish I had gone with the regular individual boxes.
The regular ones are even worse. On multiple boxes there isn't enough space to fit the cards, even if you put cards from certain expansions in boxes from other expansions
To be fair, they did everything in their power to make this box fit in a kallax cube. I think they just ended up adding too much stuff and giving us more of what we wanted. I’m ok with this because all the content they added looks meaty and not bloat, so I’ll deal with some inconvenience. The trays for all the minis and Witchers & Mages is EPICLY easy tho! I have many minis games and this one has the best trays! CMON needs to learn from these guys!
@@BigBoii1369 Cards at least should have been in a couple of long card trays in the bottom area clearly marked with card tabs to insert in the trays. This mixing and splitting in random card slots is crazy.
At 11:24 in the video, I noticed an issue with the "standard action cards." It seems like you received significantly fewer cards than I did, or there might have been a mix-up with the cards. I carefully followed the instructions step by step, and I used GAMEGENIC 7 WONDER sleeves. I can confirm that these sleeves do not fit properly. Additionally, it appears that you have a much smaller quantity of action cards than I do, which raises suspicions of potential cheating in the video. It's possible that you're using smaller and thinner sleeves, but I still believe you received a significantly smaller number of action cards than I did. I'm quite disappointed with this situation because the main idea behind the big box was to have everything in one place with enough space. It seems like this wasn't taken into consideration for people who sleeve their games, which is nearly everyone nowadays. Regrettably, I've already invested money in the sleeves, and I shouldn't be held responsible for the sleeved cards not fitting into the BIG BOX. Moreover, I find the card holder design to be inefficient, with a lot of wasted space that could have been utilized for more storage. Sadly, at this point, the Big Box feels like a scam.
I followed up your video to the letter with cards sleeved in sleeves provided in campaign. There is completely no chance to fit them like this. Sleeves are quite thick so my guess is that you use different thickness sleeves. Sorry but this is a joke, and your constant renarks about "fitting it no problem" are annoying as hell.
This is so bad. I've tried multiple times to copy this and it just doesn't work. It's like you're not using all of your own cards in this walk through... also why in the world wouldn't you mark the event cards to indicate which set/expansion they're from? Ugh.
Yeah, me too. I can't get it to fit. It's like if I get all cards in, I don't have room for tokens, if I wan't the tokens in, I don't have room for the dice and Eredin. Maybe I'm missing something, but it feels like there is not enough space to get everything in the box...
@goonboard I followed the instructions in the video precisely and I’m still left with 100 cards that I now need to squeeze in somewhere else. It’s extremely disappointing to have spent so much money on the big box that has been promoted (even in this video) to comfortably store all the sleeved cards when this simply isn’t true. 😟
I bend one of the action cards trying to get it in this way. There is not enough room. Im gonna take the insert out. This game storage is turning me into an animal.
Seeing that extra space from adding the witcher starting cards has me wondering. Does that deck include Ciri and the Manticore? Having the witcher starter decks and all the mage & witcher trophies don't fit. In addition, it looks like you have 60 cards shown in the normal attack deck, but it looks like mine has 30 more cards with nowhere to go (no special action text).
Yeah, something isn't adding up. Using their sleeves, I had to pack all of the card compartments so tight I'm worried about damaging the cards. I haven't tried the organization they have in this video, but I just made a circle around the tray packing things splitting as needed, and it's tight AF.
I appreciatie the video. But the sleeves used in this video are not the same as the ones that you bought in the pledge manager. We can’t fit all the cards. 28 Witcher trophy vards to be exact. The lid over the cards barely fits already. But overall, mighty fine quality components and trays.
I believe I followed this meticulously, but cannot fit all the basic action cards in their slot, also adding the monster cards make that lot very tight...and now, with manoeuvring the rest of the cards round it all doesn't fit
I don’t like the idea of having to split decks of cards to different slots to make them fit. It’s very disorganized. I’ve just removed the sleeves from the low use cards like the quest cards and exploration cards and they all fit (and honestly stack) better in the box.
You guys need to take responsibility for your actions and stop lying to the people. You are clearly managing less cards than we are (60 vs 90 action cards) and you are encouraging us to do something that could damage the cards long term. The Skellige deck is especially suffering with your approach. I am truly disappointed with your product because you were supposed to offer a big box where everything could fit without any problem, but the storage solution you provided for the cards is really poor.
I can confirm that ALL the cards, sleeved with the Kickstarter's card sleeves, fit perfectly into the Big Box. I confirm though that I find it impossible to keep them perfectly separated and organized. Sort of, maybe, but I am already happy to be able to keep all in the box (except the tokens and markers).
Yes. Same here - They are NOT working with the same amount of cards as we are - a few things make sense - then it breaks apart with the standard and advanced action cards
thx. there still is some space in the lower tray with the monsters where cards can go. i also kept the lit of the spare box with the ciri artwork. you can use it as an extra compartment if you put it on top of the box last, before closing the big box. the box will get a little higher though ;)
Yeah, the organization of the big box has been deeply upsetting along with poorly marked or unmarked cards making it difficult to keep expansions separated. Most likely I'm going to just use a photo binder to store all of the event cards since they're ordered and it will free up room in the box
It kind of feels a bit scammy how it was constantly mentioned how everything would fit easily, and now that we get the game nobody can figure out how to make it fit and we need to split the cards into messy piles. There's a lot of blank space in the tray so it easily could have fit with a redesign.
I can follow this instruction more or less until the action cards. I separated as you told but Im not understand that how can you put the standard action cards which is 90 piece of cards to that small part. Also as I see it about the half of the size of your pile then mine.
I'm wonder why do we have to split this deck, put this together with other cards and shove it in together when this is a kickstarter campaign with a game tray made for the game. The game tray design is really questionable as it there are so many tokens and cards yet no perfect solution for it. The design of the card tray will damage cards and sleeves if you try to squeeze the cards in as there a protruding sides to all the sides of the card tray. No offences thought, the game looks great and seems fun as I have yet to play it but trying organising everything. Just that it is really frustrated when you have so much stuff yet it is disorganised and make set up and keeping it a mess. Making you think twice before you want to table it out.
sleeves were not part of the pledge combos. it is already nice of them to account for sleevers. it is not nice they did it at expense of "normal" gamers. without sleeves there is lots of extra space and the main card tray lid is harder to put on, as cards tilt too much. there is nothing wrong with pimping your game out, but custom inserts are always an option for those willing to spend extra. it is a mistake to make the default (including retail) storing space worse because *some* people may sleeve their cards. some games find ways to not make the drawback of conflicting interests as obvious. here imho they should just have added a minor cost hike to big box and add the sleeves, and then design it in a way better for sleevers. so taking big box would also heavily encourage to use it as intended. now both non-sleevers and sleevers pay a minor cost in convenience.
@GoOnBoard - Is there any chance for a detailed list of cards with expansion assignments?
Where is the FAQ you guys promised multiple times? And you really need to make a video about how to organize the box? Why wasn't there instructions included? Poor planning.
It's horrible. Another game with a useless built-in organizer. But there was so much time to design it well. With such a large number of cards, they should be sorted by type. Each type is in its place. It is also advisable to draw on the bottom of the container the type of cards that are intended for it. Otherwise, every game will turn into solitaire at the beginning and at the end. First you need to pull the stack out of the compartment and sort it into several decks. At the end of the game, it becomes even more difficult to remember which stacks are combined, with which you need to put them in one compartment. I'll have to run my 3d printer again and print my own the contents of big box. Again. Very sad. Or you could just make huge long compartments for all the cards together by adding dividers for the decks. This would reduce the amount of plastic for the walls and solve the problems with the sleeves /unsleeves .
They should have just went with card boxes, like so many other games with lots of cards, such as Terraforming Mars Big Box or Everdell Complete Collection.
Yeah... This doesn't work. You either don't have all the cards, or not the same sleeves we got from you, because If I follow the instructions I still have about 60 cards I can't fit. Tried reorganizing, basically the Witcher and mage trophies just don't have a place with your sleeves on...
Just fixed everything. Also sleeved all cards with 100 micron sleeves except for all the event cards. Since these won't be shuffled, I see no compelling reason to sleeve them. Reference cards also weren't sleeved but even if I did, I think they would still fit. Followed around 50% of the video. But I split the event cards 1-137 to the two middle horizontal slots. The upper middle slots were occupied by the starting action cards and some of the remaining action cards instead. The remaining exploration cards (thick stack) were placed on the upper right corner slot.
I wish there was something like this for the regular boxes. It seems that there is not enough space for sleeves cards at all, which is VERY disappointing..
I highly regret having opted for the big box. Setup is actually worse and you just lose track of where you have the stuff you need. A pity, the rest of it is pretty great.
@Goonboard Are you serious? All cards do absolutely not fit in that small thing with the sleeves you packed by without damaging the cards bc of too much pressure 😤 I’m annoyed a little bit for 450€ an more than 2 years of development
this is a DISGRACE... you should say sorry, we f**d up and provide new insert for BB owners. Could be card boxes (like in TM) or something like that.. I'm using rebel sleeves 90micron, they barely fit + I'm afraid that I'll bend my cards while forcing them into this plastic joke of an insert.. 6915% of target camapign money and we end with this.. shame on you.. just shame..
honestly, there's no point in sleeving the exploration cards, it's a waste of time, money and space ;). There are so many of them and they are handled so briefly that any potential damage over time is really irrelevant. The only things worth sleeving are monster attack cards and player cards.
Loosely based on this I found out how to fit all cards with premium sleeves (90 Action cards) in the big box and did this short video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7KYBThMWHjk.html
Well, I had psoted here a link to a Gdoc sheet that has all the layouts for card placement and also a description of what cards were in each of the original packing blocks. It was apparently deleted. What a waste of my time, Fkn, RU-vid...
Wow... How disappointed is it. Say someone was actually paid to develop this storage where you just put things randomly without any sense of organization based on gameplay, what you need, type of card. Just random holes. That and the fact that at no point space was planned for eredin (while kse are) nor tokens ( the freaking Manuel advise to store them repunched 🤪) and last but not least the ciri box art is to be abandoned when the big box is not two boxes. Just wow, mind-blowing at this stage...
I wish people would just stop complaining. I found it pretty easy to fit everything and it's actually fine in terms of keeping expansions separate. Thanks for the video!
They cut from the video some action cards sadly, @go on board how you put 90 standard action cards on the small slot showed on the video that with your sleeves only 62 cards fit?
