It makes sense in terms of organizing and planning, but for me not in the context of creative putting the outfits together. Any thoughts on that? I've been researching how to create a digital wardrobe from ux point of view, and I've tested out some solutions already, but they didn't work. My first attempt was to cut out all my clothes and put it in Miro so they "hang" in a space like in a wardrobe and I can choose them to make outfits just like cut-out dolls. In the same board I had my inspiration. The problem was, with each new item in my wardrobe, it was quite difficult to keep track of what I have. I'm not a minimalist whatsoever and the biggest issue I see, is having multiple options for each item (sometimes just fit better with other pieces than the others). And also my designed outfits didn't really fit in real life due to photos taken on a bed, instead on my body. The cool thing about that, beside this paper doll fun, was that I could easily put a sticky note (color coded) on my inspos, so I knew which ones were possible to recreate with my own clothes. And this would be really helpful now. All in all, miro got serious problems handling this many pictures anyway, so I ditched it. Since then my mind wanders around utilizing notion. I've moved my inspirations to a database, thinking that maybe I could link it to a database with my own clothes. But it seems like a lot of work browsing these items. Maybe even more than having it all physically. Most effective solution so far for me was taking pictures of my existing outfits and just uploading it to a private pinterest so I can browse through a 'catalog' of how I want to look today. But it doesn't help me with finding variations of the outfits, the job is already done and fixed. Not perfect for sure. And I'd like to use my inspirations the same way, but as I mentioned, I don't have this opportunity in notion to mark what is lacking from the outfit to make it, and noting what I could actually use is very time consuming. And it won't help with determining which pieces are never used - or some won't be stylized ever if I only rely on outside inspirations. Ok I know too many clothes, too much text here. But maybe someone has some thoughts/experiences. Or found a perfect categorization system that actually makes creating outfits easier.
