It ain't no secret.. I mean Jay has had throat surgery before and Ryan did back up vocals. It would sound better if they had the masters and the engineer would take out the main drums, bass, guitar and vocals and leave the synths and drum loops etc.. but I guess the masters are gone. Would not be easy to do this but maybe having a synth player with samples on keys and a good back up vocalist would look better 🤘💯
I was there for the entire performance. I remember thinking "WTF?!" in a way I've never thought at a concert before, for many of the songs ...You can tell which tracks are heavily backed and which are not. Amir, Ryan, Paige and Bobby are not there, so it's going to be different. No matter... They were great like always. My #1 favorite band.
Lol for eveyone saying this is all tracks 😂 I am the one who did their sound for this show. Yes there are backing tracks for synths and samples, obviously there is no keyboardist. All guitars and bass are direct but they are live same with the drums. There are very few backing vocal tracks just to thicken up parts but all mics are live and real. Any of your favorite professional bands you see all have some form of back tracks. But Jay is an amazing vocalist and I add all the delay reverb effects ect. I'm glad I had them sounding so good that you people think it's fake🤘😎
Do you care to elaborate what happened at 10:27 then? Thats pretty loud for a backing track. Sounds like its louder than the band. Jay seems like he is way quieter than the backtrack. Looks like he has to scream to get over it. Not really backing tracks when its at the front of the mix 😂
@xBizkits At this festival there are bands sounding checking behind stage. Because the stage rotates. I even said wtf was that because it wasn't in my mixing console at FOH. Festivals like this can always be some crazy shit happening with so many different consoles and sound checks at the same time. I can assure you the band are playing their instruments besides the obvious keyboard samples or electronic intro in the songs.
The sound was spot on.....jay IS singing...as he ALWAYS DOES. please stop this and try and be nice.....can ya do that??thank you to xximinabandxx...GREAT JOB!
jay is very talented and would never fake his vocale I saw them when they were big many years ago I wanted to go to this show really bad but I live across the u.s and couldn't afford it I appreciate all the vidéos everyone is posting thank you soooo much
I remember seeing them at Family values tour 98 thats when Nu metal was in full swing! The drummer played an Ekit back then. And they also played with no backing tracks. The drums are very low in the mix but they are there. But there are definitely drums in the backing track as well. Ive been in the music industry especially as a drummer and you can tell when the drummer is playing the actual parts and he was off beat quite a few times but nowadays your gonna get backing tracks from a lot of older bands bc they just dont have that extra sound they had back in the day.
Right! That’s Motley Crue level faking it. And it’s sad to see, too, because not only did I love this band, but as one commentator pointed out earlier, he sounds amazing in Fiction.
What tha hell man! No Punk Static Paranoia tracks!!!! Thats an amazing album and they gave nothing!!! im about to see them in a few months with COLD and i hope to god they play at least 1 track from that album
@@christianhart2159 well my friend, the concert with Cold is Orgys 25 yrs anniversary on Candyass, so im guessing the are playing only that album, which im fine with...thatvwas the first orgy album i bought when i was in highschool, so im down to revisit.
Thanks for sharing. I was listening to Vapor Transmission yesterday... after a long time, what a killer album... a shame there aren't more songs of this album live...
I love how Jay NAILS "Dissension", it sounds exactly like the album vocals from way back in the day! Oh wait it IS the vocal tracks from the album, that's why 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
Dunno where I was / what state I was in when orgy played / can’t believe i missed slept so long / you know the festival is good when you’re not focused on every single band but just having a SICK time with friends. SNW was 10/10
During Dissention - Jay repeatedly puts the mic down near his waste, and the lead vocals keep going. That’s not “backing tracks”. He’s either faking it completely, or singing along to the vocals from the album. The album-version drums are also playing on top of what the drummer is doing.
Couldn’t be further from the truth. Funny Jay played a ton of the music himself on every song on every record. I guess he is supposed to have a station with every instrument so then he wouldn’t need a band at all. Ur just a shit talker
They are totally on a pre recorded track. Even during Slept Too Long you can hear audible breathing even though the mic isnt near his face. Orgy has been a mess since 2004 and Jay (The Singer) has driven the Orgy name into the ground. The fact they were even booked for Sick New World is crazy to me. Really Sad and Jay should really just go solo and drop the Orgy name since it is now a solo project rather than an actual band
I know that person is denying the prerecording look at 8:40 and watch the drummer for the next minute and listen to the snare and fills, he starts standing up twirling sticks then all of a sudden lots of snare while hes still standing up and immediately sits down trying to catch up, and his fills etc as it goes on are non existent in the song lol im a drummer so its normally all i focus on.
@@xx-ds4hk Bobby as well, at least he knew how to play the songs lol, i met ryan a few times at the machine shop here in michigan, hes the nicest guy ever as is amir. so humble and cool to talk with.
@@dummer66 really? terrible? imagine what your gonna say 10 years from now when you go see a show and its fuckin robots jammin on the stage lol, am i right?
Ryan Shuck (original blonde guitarist // also co-wrote Blind by Korn) is the singer of Adema now. He was in a band with Chester Bennington and Amir Derakh (original synth-guitarist) called Dead By Sunrise All these fuckers are talented
Orgy as a band, and its music, is great. But never meet your idols, kids. “Met” jay at a meet and great in Austin tx. Bro couldn’t be bothered to come on time, hung out with the band (most of which have been replaced), they even offered to buy us all drinks (not just because they are nice, but because they all thought it was fucked up Jay hadn’t shown up at all at this point). Finally, about ten minutes before meet and greet (it was as a small group of maybe 5 of us) Jay appears. The band irritated, and Jay being just (weird). I couldn’t pinpoint if it was a substance thing or he just didn’t like it was only 5 of us. But anyways, I asked with all the social energy I could muster if I could get a picture with him. He said “with the band only, I don’t take pictures alone” I thought it was weird. But then when we (the band and I) got ready for the picture- he just kept talking and ordering people off camera to do shit. Never posed for the picture. So everyone of us are all posing or just smiling at the camera, meanwhile Jay is seen as a blurred face in the middle of yelling something in the bar in the only picture I was allowed to get. Looked up to the guy since I was 9yrs old when I first saw blue Monday. The meet and greet was a graduation gift to me from my older brother. I have social anxiety, and was having panic attacks thinking I’d finally meet Jay. Well. I was sad to say, the saying is true. Never meet your idols.😮
What people seem to misunderstand is, that they ARE playing live but OVER backing tracks. The question now is, why do you need to play live if you have backing tracks or vice versa? I guess it's just a "safety measure" in case you make mistakes or "run out of breath". Either way, playing live over bt or not playing at all because you have no BT, is pretty unprofessional.
I feel it's only unprofessional if you're an upcoming artist doing it, but this is Orgy (and not even the real Orgy; only Jay Gordon). Still, Orgy is an established band that have already honed their craft, paved the way for MANY artists who've been influenced by their work, and ultimately; paid their dues. Jay is not there to prove anything; he's there to perform for fans of Orgy and provide quality entertainment becoming of a live show _-which is all live concerts are, at the end of day._
Great band, but the musicians aren't actually playing any of their instruments here.. pay attention to 10:27. The "band" comes in too early on the synth track and yet no one on stage is playing. The track is quickly muted and corrected by the sound engineer.. you can hear someone nearby in the crowd noticing it and saying "what the hell". at 10:44 you see the singer acknowledging it to the drummer with his gesture. "whoops, shit". Numerous examples like this throughout the video. Really sucks that this is what live shows have become. A lot of bands are doing this lately.
@@jakebellaire I'm not talking about the synths or electronic drums. look closely at 10:27. you hear audio of guitars bass and acoustic drums come in for a second while the band is not playing their instruments. the audio of those instruments is quickly cut off after a few seconds.
Jay is lip syncing again or still? When Orgy 2.0 were in Europe 7?8? Years ago fans noticed that also. But this live footage is too obvious, that this is a COVER show
The techs backstage we’re having issues with their ‘laptops’ is what I hear, for these first two songs, they had the backing track up waaaay too loud drowning out jay. Jay was even pissed….the entire side stages of this festival suffered a lot of fuck ups with the sound guys :/
You've got to be foolish to think its all track. Theres always backing track i think its something people are gonna have to live with. He's always had a good voice.
Man, these bullshit comments. Every band has backing tracks. It depends on how tight you play if people notice it eventually. Since this band plays a bit sloppy, this is not in their favor. But, all this aside: they play live, so what's the point.
I think they had three hits if I remember correctly. Or maybe I was just super nu metal in the late 90s and thought they were more popular than they actually were
Dissention is pretty much the album track being played through the PA, with messy real drums mixed in. This was real bad. The main drum beat is cool and the dude didn't do it properly, and it sounded poop.
I was there. Horrible set. And at the end when I thought they can make it better with playing Blue Monday, the moron jumps off the stage and gets fans to sing in the mic for him. I said to myself how are they one of the first bands to be playing and it made sense lol
theyve always allowed fans to sing in blue monday in recent years, audience participation, a big part of being a performer is audience engagement, youll understand with a bit of study!
As long as you’re having a great time, that’s cool, but that’s the mentality that entices bands to fake so many aspects of their shows nowadays. A lot of young fans agree with you on this. Why bother going through all the trouble and hard work of dialing in your live sound and putting on a top notch performance if the fans are happy with us just dancing around while our album plays. Filling in a few musical blanks here and there to make it seem legit. The point of a concert is to watch a band actually perform their music raw and real in front of you. Mistakes and all. Fans are supposed to sing with the singer, not for the singer. If your boss at work was perfectly fine with you doing 30% of your work everyday, you’d stick to it and half ass your way through the job.
In 10 years you're going to be the same guy saying, "Who cares if there's a robot on the sports team making 99% of the points?!" Sorry, I paid for a live band. If you're a pop singer with an intricate stage show and difficult dance routines I can ALMOST condone it, but a rock band?!!?? Dude, NO.
These dudes are faking it just like their women do! Its a bad fake too.. Lead vocal and even drums!! Its not just synths and samples, its everything. They should have been boo'd off the stage.
WOW! I actually liked this band, but man, this is all prerecorded. Look at the drummer, he's playing isn't matching up to the song. He's playing fills when there isn't any.
