Ori was just ahead of the times. Remember Bibian from Produce 48? She was hopeless as a singer, and so awkward, but everyone loved her because she was memey, and kpop Twitter had taken off by then.

Bibian isn't that bad, considering HKT48 girls didn't get singing training at the time and there are Actual TONE DEAF members in some of JPN48... She is now part of Candy Tune after graduating from HKT48.

Iffy performance aside, she had ovaries of steel to walk onto that stage and perform on national TV. Even if her dream didn't come true, she still went for it. Glad to hear she's doing well today and reconnecting with audiences via streaming.

i remember first hearing about ori when you posted the video. definitely concerned me since nobody really knew where she went. it appears that ori is much happier now & i hope she’s doing well. i couldn’t imagine the amount of pain she went through prior to her disappearing.

I mean, I was into Kpop and saw most of what hit the stage at that time, and she was really not rememberable, just like many other singers. I mean, body shaming to the side, she had no special talent that made her stand out in any other way. The music itself was also not anything special.
