Thanks for the review. Just curious how reliable this thing is? I see they also sell one with a tiny 7000rpm fan inside. I'm guessing the thermals weren't great on this one? Have you tried using it for e.g. video editing straight off the drive? Or large (10GB+) file copies? Asking for a Mac user (you know coz Apple like scalping their customers for internal storage!). Does it work without throttling or more importantly without corrupting data?

best would be to just buy a external SSD, an NVME is far to expensive per GB to be just be throttled by not being in as proper slot.

Yes I agree you can get a cheaper NVMe. No need for a fast and expensive drive here. Just realize a NVMe is a SSD. With that said if you but a SATA SSD you will be limited to SATA speeds. About 550MB/s.
