Lovely tute. The model’s creator is Makoto Yamaguchi. He has written many brilliant and accessible origami books. He also runs the Gallery Origami House in Tokyo Japan, and publishes the magazine for the Japan Origami Academic Society, known as the Origami Tanteidan.

Frankly, I love it! ;-) I usually tend to fold using only pure 'white' typing/copier paper; but, looking at this thing where the colours really make the end design stand out so incredibly brightly'; maybe, I'll try doing it with coloured papers, instead. -Thanks!

This is a very beautiful spinning top. When I make them I do make one change and that is for the first piece I use paper that has color on both sides so no white shows up on the final top.

Yeah, but that won't be origami anymore. Origami does not involve using glue or sticky tape.

Just insert the corners of the orange part into the white pockets of the blue part (as shown in the video). Hope you can make it!

Guys, u probably know the tranforming ninja star right? Well if u make this and a star with the same sqare place this into the middle of the star, it makes the spinning time much longer and it can fall off of a table while spinning and land spinning
