Another GREAT video highlighting the undisputed champions of cartooning creativity! The comic strip field has so much richness to it. Thanks to digital newspaper archives, actual newspaper comic sections, books on its history by authors like Coulton Waugh ( love his Dickie Dare strip), Ron Goulart and Jerry Robinson ( enjoy his Jet Scott strip), Rick Marschall's Nemo and Hogans Alley , the various articles over the years, Your show, etc I feel like the Burgess Meredith character in the Twilight Zone episode who is surrounded by literary goodness. I have a few pair of eyeglasses if I need to replace a pair that break their lenses, lol. Comic strips also were very popular stage plays during the Platinum Age. A D Condo was also a very popular cartoonist at the time. Barnacle Press is a great website dedicated to Platinum Age comic strips. My enthusiasm for comic strips from the Platinum Age to the early 1970s is major.
