Origin of Plankton Easter Eggs & References in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 -EVO Mechanics Showcase 

The canons on Plonkton mech is from the game SpongeBob Heropants of all places.

“Plankton’s your guy if you want a character that isn’t just nothing but references” *proceeds to say that nearly every move Plankton has is a reference to a random robot / mechanical character in another fighting game*

At least they figured out on how to make Plankton playable to deal with his small size. His own robot is the best option for him even with having Karen in his robot.

Holy cow! I just got referenced in a video! :D And no problem, I remembered the spring shoes appeared in an episode, I just looked which episode they were from.

It could be funny if Plankton's refrences are from various transformations he had gone through over the years. As well as various robots he and Sandy built. I brought up the last one because I thought Sandy or Plankton built a robot that did that spinning motion but I don't remember the episode. Though it would be funny if he had an attack in reference to his and Karen's son as well as Karen 2.0.

The condiments for plankton’s mech might be a reference to the fight scene in the 2nd spongebob movie but that’s a bit of a stretch
