@@lightdestructionswhich makes her all the more underrated, knowing a character from just one show from your childhood doesn’t necessarily make them popular.
Surprised you didn't mention she's named after Indian spices: coriander and tamarind. The creator must have ordered Indian food while he was working on the character.
Starfire had such a traumatic past. I'm surprised that Starfire is able to be optimistic and smile towards everyone after everything she's been through
@@NCMonefaith Hmm I know the Robin from the show Teen Titans but that's about it. I don't know about those two in the comics. I have never read any DC comics at all. I want to get into reading them, just don't know where to start. So many heroes and villains
Corey Lowe | "She only has eyes for Dick." Yeah, Dick certainly comforted Starfire. That being said, when Starfire was about to escape, she seduced one of the guards to please himself with her body, but then blast a hole in his body.
Starfire from the original series actually taught me so much life lessons. One of them being it's okay to be different and we should all get along peacefully.
YES!! I LOVE her origon story comic! Ive always been a huge fan of starfire, thanks to the show, and then discovered The NEw Teen Titans comic run. The origonal Starfire has always been my favorite and i still reread her origon comic, it's just so great! People dont realize just what she had to go through, how really horrrible her origon is. Great Episode!!
*_Depression 101_* : Look at Starfire in this live adaptation. And based on the designs(shitty costumes), as a Beast Boy Fan, they didn't even show some CGI of him, maybe they can't handle the budget. I just hope that atleast they don't fvck up Beast boy's transformations.
tepea ten | Well, the same reason they decided to do Pacific Rim instead of Evangelion. Having Teens are quite hard for North American Media, having Younger Children are even harder. Ender's Game is basically Digimon Adventure: Our Wargame, but they turned it into Digimon Adventure 02: Diablomon's Counterattack in the movie version.
I can't help but feel bad for Blackfire in all of this as well. Her actions are inexcusable but like the old saying goes: "A child will burn down an entire village to feel its warmth". If she wasn't brushed aside for something she couldn't control, maybe she wouldn't have become evil.
R Kelly has a similar backstory. You all try to give female characters pity backstories too easily. Justifying mass murder, and grape, all because she had a sad backstory.
I’ve had the longest crush on Starfire since I first saw the original cartoon when I was 8. After seeing her in the comics, that crush got even bigger! I honestly cannot decide between her or Catwoman.
Simply put she's got the standard superhuman attributes in terms of strength, speed, stamina, durability, reflexes etc. in addition to flight and star bolts
I just think it’s really funny and amusing that Starfires’s name and planet are named after food spices. Starfire’s name Koriand'r sounds like Coriander and the planet she hails from Tamaran sounds Tamarine. I’m just wondering if her creators Marv Wolfman, and George Pérez took inspiration from food spices especially From Indian food when they were coming up with those names. Food for thought.
Man this seemed like a good story, wish I was alive when it came out so I read it as it became popular. But at least I’m reading sideways as it comes out!
same here. i support the actress but its just the cgi they have put on starfire. like why couldnt they just go full body orange make up instead?. either way, im still watching titans because i grew up with the animated series and read comics such as the judas contract, new 52 run and rebirth
Ok so starfire does really shoot fire in the beginning so we’re is the titans show getting the hair from I guess her hair is a little short in the old comics kinda
The Tamarians seemed to have a quite Thundercats style civilization. Starfire and Lion-O resembled each other, especially when they were young. Could it be that Starfire is secretly a cat? Does this mean Skyfire is a flying cat?
Master Splinter good to know that people were drawn to interesting and imaginative story telling and not just in it for sex appeal 🙄 I’m so proud of humanity
Hi!! Could u guys do an origin on Etrigan? i think he is one of the coolest demons especially in his role as one of the main casts in Justice League Dark
My Little Pony: Equestria Girls' Pinkie Pie resembled a lot to the classic look of Starfire. But then again, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic's ponies resembled more toward cats than actual ponies. Compare them with another horse derived series, Uma Musume Pretty Derby. Look at the ears.
They need to make a comic plot where starfire says “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH BLACKFIRE” and starfire is done playing nice and out right kills blackfire for her years of betrayal and becomes Tamerains queen or just quits the Titans after they all watch her kill her sister cause she feed up and boom starfire is corrupted and isn’t nice no more and goes on killing spree and shows how powerful she really is and her powers expand
CAN YOU PLEASE DO A SANDMAN VIDEO or something!!!!! everyone keeps debating Gaara vs Sandman and they believe gaara would destroy him and i don’t think it would be that easy 🤔🤔🤔
Villains month is coming up and I think there's isn't anybody more fitting for villains month than a Halloween themed villian, like a "History Of episode" of The Green Goblin!!! Lots of fans of this channel have been asking for a "History Of" episode of Dr. Doom. So for villains month, I think it be fitting if Variant did those two for villains month.
Am I confused? I was sure this was X'Hal, and she was Okaraan. Didn't she join the Titans as Starfire? I remember her from the Omega Men comics (where Lobo came from as well). Or was there a new beginning for Starfire after Crisis? I'm talking the 80s here.
