He truly understood the assignment! Ava being so royally talented she recognizes real. Though her discovering Stan was no accident yet spiritually intentional in order for him to continue to gain awareness of his beautiful indigenous peoples❣️ I was so excited the night this showed up on my feed as I play his music EVERYDAY! I cried after the video. It was so Stan. He’s so inspirational and my life is so wealthy to have personally discovered his music 2 years ago.

Stan you killed that song. I shit you not i spent a whole day watching reactions to the song and didnt get bored of one single scene at all. The scene that makes me want to cry is when you go into the second chorus and Maori people fade into the scene . it was like this is us, we are here and this culture, and culture in general is still very much alive and we are not going anywhere. Such a powerful song. my favourite song ending in 2023 is I AM

I just felt the lyrics in my bones,even though it’s in Māori,predominantly,& I wanted to express that,& my gratitude to an amazing song,despite not understanding the language,& being a white Australian. I also think it’s wonderful that the world gets to both see,& listen to alittle bit of Māori culture,& their language ,& I can only guess how amazingly proud New Zealanders must be of this song,& Stan walker,and what it represents,& I think that’s a beautiful thing to be honest.

Yes, he is extra beautiful because he is humble, well-spoken, and over the years, he has demonstrated a strong desire to help those less fortunate. The last part of the interview brought tears to my eyes. He has the love of God in him, because he's doing all the right things, for the right reasons. I am praying that Stan receives the Oscar for the express purpose of “empowering” those who need it most.
