This is such a great scene because Napoleon made a huge decision to dance in front of the entire school unplanned, facing his fears, in order to help his friend. You gotta hand it to Napoleon. That takes a lot of courage
This is one of the greatest comedy movies of all time. Napoleon faces his inner battle by exposing his quirky style on a global stage, and demands that he be respected for his authentic self. Sometimes the only way to change the game is to become more quintessentially who you are. By the end, Napoleon is transformed, he wins at tether ball, and literally controls earth's trajectory around the sun.
@@xaviers6161 I liked the movie because it captured what was going on in my head in middle and high school. I wasn't as quirky as Napoleon was, but I also tried too hard to be cool, pretended to not be impressed by almost anything, and I acted really weird and paranoid around girls because I didn't understand them. It makes me laugh now because I see my younger self turned up to 11 with these characters in this movie.
This is one of the best scenes I've seen in a comedy movie. Despite the odds, despite everything he has going against him he just goes out there and absolutely gets it for his boy. Really quite a fine movie.

Napoleon Dynamite: Yes, like 50 of 'em! They kept trying to attack my cousins, what the heck would you do in a situation like that? Don: What kind of gun did you use? +1993seanmcg As insane as the story sounds... it is actually quite possible. There are areas of alaska with too many wolverines, and are hunted heavily as sport. They trap them, then shoot them. Everything he said is actually very plausible, but to any person who didn't know that, would sound absolutely ridiculous. Poor guys in alaska never even understood why that part was suppose to be funny xD Would of loved a prequel Napoleon Dynamite, Summer in Alaska Napoleon's uncle: Jesus Napoleon, how many did you get. Napoleon: Like 50 or something. Napoleon's uncle: That's all? Napoleon: I ran out of shotgun shells, GOSH! Napoleon's uncle: Well I killed more than that last summer, and two of your cousin still ended up getting attacked by ones I missed. Think of your cousins!
This is my favorite movie moment. Napolean laid everything on the line for his best griend Pedro, in front of his whole high school. He was bold, he was courageous, he was completely committed and fearless. Imagine what you would dare to do with a friend like Napolean. You can propose marriage to your true love, go back to school to earn that degree, or start your own business. Dream big, take a chance, and live your life huge. All it takes is courage, and a friend like Napolean. And remember, your friend Napoleon has a dream, too. Support him and encourage him to dare to dream.
I am here to thank my 5th grade teacher Mrs Mayes from Roosevelt Elementary in Nampa ID for helping us learn this dance for our talent show; we never preformed it BUT I learned the WHOLE thing and I bust it out when needed (I’m 25 now😭🤣❤️)
Mrs Mayes must have been in that audience and absorbed the spiritual energy of that moment and now you carry it forward. Use your dance powers only for good.

Me and my dance class did this dance at recital. My mom being my mom, got his whole look and wore it. It was awesome. The dance is actually kind of difficult. It was very fun to do though every body in the crowd loved it!

This movie makes me cry. I guess it’s just so nostalgic to me because I was born in ‘01 and my memory started to develop around the time this movie was released. It might be the most beautiful movie I’ve ever watched.
Great clip. Only problem is that the end cuts away before Pedro sees and hears the applause and goes from looking sad and solemn to genuinely moved and happy.
Here after the Gap Kids commercial. Such an incredible movie Napoleon Dynamite is until this day! Growing up watching the film to meeting Napoleon, Pedro and Uncle Rico in real life at a screening is a Flippin Sweet achievement. It was great seeing Jon Heder and Efren Ramirez reprise their roles in the commercial.
I was at a Napoleon Dynamite screening and I remember before I did the dance, I had my hand raised for the longest time and I remember Jon Heder (Napoleon) said "last question goes to this guy" and he said to my mom "don't be coaching on him on what he's gonna say" funniest thing ever and I remember Jon Gries (Uncle Rico) asking me "is that a wig" and I said that's a wig and he said "that's pretty good" and I asked Jon Heder if he still owned any of the memorabilia and he said yes. Then, there was a costume contest and I remember this guy next to me had a Rex Kwon Do costume and I said "nice costume" and said "thanks" and then I did the dance next to Jon (Napoleon) himself and it was one of the most amazing moments of my life. I gave handshakes and hugs on stage to Jon (Napoleon), Efren (Pedro), and Jon Gries (Uncle Rico). Better than what I hoped for.
This was in my recommendations back in late March early April , I watched this everyday for the next couple weeks . Crazy how it’s already been 6 months . I miss that time
Omg.... still great after all these years. Between this ending dance scene and the ending dance scene for Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion, I just laugh until I cry. Good stuff. Pedro for President!
I watched this movie for the first time a few weeks ago. I never really bothered before as I assumed it was just another stoner movie that plagued the late 90's and early 2000's, but it was actually really good. Nice, chill movie but not stupid and too over the top.
I wasn’t known much in high school. I was the socially awkward kid. It was tough. The senior talent show comes along and I thought I’d push myself to go out and do it. I bring my trombone on stage and setup a karaoke track of Bruno Mars’s Treasure. I danced like Michael Jackson and did a few Napoleon dynamite moves. I won 1st in the talent show and became admired in the school. These things exist guys. Just go out there.
