Excellent review...I wore this one just the other day now that the cooler Fall weather is upon but, to be honest, I was actually wearing Mont Blanc Individuel so don't tell anyone! Okay, Original Santal used to be a favorite (and it does have that a level of smoothness and quality that Individuel doesn't quite possess) but it never received any compliments and has fall out of favor the past few years. Love original santal its one of my favorite creeds believe it or not. I'm in the minority that absolutely cannot stand Aventus the smell makes me nauseous 🤢
Creed's back stories make no sense... Hungarian Emporer? Emporer Franz Joseph I of Austria ruled over Hungary from 1830-1916. Hungary was a part of the Holy Roman Empire between 1526-1867, controlled by the Hapsburg Dynasty. In 1868 Hungary was given "considerable autonomy" with the formation of the Austro-Hungarian empire with the Emperor of Austria simultaneously serving as the king of Hungary. So when did Creed compose a fragrance for an Hungarian Emperor?
The creed back stories are so comical and such hogwash, made for an emperor a couple hundred years ago hahaha bullshit creed. Pierre Bourdon helped make GIT for Creed then a couple years later went on to make Cool Water for Davidoff, early 2000's Pierre Bourdon is hired by Mont Blanc and made Individual and a couple years later POOF!! Original Santal is born out of Creed this cannot be denied.
