I know how much you all love my Winter Waffle beanie pattern, it's taken me by surprise to be honest.....YEY!! Thank you
Well now you can love it even more with this beautiful Winter Waffle earwarmer.
Please tag me if you make it as I love to see your work and it helps support my channel too if you share the link to the video so that others can come and take part and subscribe and help me to bring you new patterns.
All I ask is that you consider giving a donation to a small no kill animal rescue or shelter or any cause close to your heart if you find this or any of my patterns useful to you, esp if you sell your makes using my designs.
I'd really appreciate that in lieu of a coffee.
Many thanks on and all for your support
All the best
Caz and all the critters

Can you do a tutorial for this ear warmer on the sentro 48 needle please? I've seen your beanie one but I love this ear warmer and the 48 needle is all I have at the moment. Thank you! Beautiful work!

If my maths is correct you would wrap needle 18 & 19, then 20& 21 and continue same way. It's just going to be very wide like turban style than regular earwarmer size. Try just 15 rows or so, cast off and fold and look and see if it lines up right.

I ordered several skeins of neon orange yarn just for cast on/off. It makes it super easy for my rusty eyes to see the correct stitches.

I'm just about to buy my first knitting machine (have hand-knitted for YEARS, since I was about 7 years old & Mom forced me to learn for my Brownie knitter's badge! LOL! I've very glad I learned tho!) But I now do a lot of knitting for the Food Bank Christmas Trolley - often hat/scarf sets for kids & young adults... But it all takes times. Thought one of these machines would help me have more ready for the Christmas rush in years to come! I'm not sure which machine to get yet! But I'm just LOVING your patterns, so while I likely won't be selling my 'wares', I WILL donate to our local dog/cat homes, as a 'thank you' to you for your patterns! They do MARVELLOUS work to find homes for doggo's & kitties... my last 5 kitties have been from there, and I've two rescue Huskies. Sooo... I know their (Rescue Centres) value. Meanwhile, I'm watching all your video's so I know what I'm doing when I finally decide which machine I want. Do you have a favourite machine? Is there a particular one you'd say does the job for most head sizes? I'm more likely to make young adult hats & scarves, given that wee kiddies usually get so many toys donated, but older kids, not so much...

Hi Kate, You have been doing such marvellous work for charity, thank you for your generosity and kindness. I started with the Sentro 48 which I still have, but for robustness in my opinion anyway the Addi is a stronger machine. You can do adult and kids on the Sentro 48 and Addi 46 you just need to adjust the number of rows you knit. There are some fabulous knitting mahcine groups on FB too which have a great community, and I'll be starting on myself in 2024 Crafty Caz Collective so hope to see you there. All the best and congrats on the new machine, I think you're going to love it. Merry Christmas Caz

Hi Caz - that is a beautiful pattern and I love that is an ear warmer. I also love that you show various patterns and not just the same regular stitch. I do not own any of the CKM at this time but I am watching tons of videos to try to help me figure out what I want to get. I have a question that I have not seen addressed yet and I am hoping you can advise me - I almost always use natural fibers like wool, and I wanted to know how the machine handles that. I also have tons of fingering weight wool sock yarn and would love to be able to use it, even if its only on the 22 needle Sentro. Any ideas how wool works in the machine, but I know it all depends on the thickness, but I have only seen people use acrylic yarns? Thank you!

Hi Sue I've used yarn with a percentage of wool in it without any issues but I've never tried 100% wool so I can't advise on that. I have also used sock yarn and in my experience due to the size of the needles the tension is way too loose. It worked out much better on my flat bed machine due to the smaller needles I guess as I'm def no expert. I've used the sock yarn in conjunction with DK yarn in the circular machines and that's also interesting as you never know how it'll turn out. Have funwhen you do decide which CKM to get, it's very addictive. All the best Caz

I'm thinking about trying to do this in a single layer using the size of the circle of the addi king and crocheting the top and bottom because I want something that's lighter. Have you done a headband that way before?
@craftycaz
@craftycaz Год назад
Great idea. No I haven't as I'm so very basic with my crochet skills. Let me know how it works out ok

Can this be achieved on the addi 46 pins?
@craftycaz

Yes indeed it'll just be wider of course due to the extra 6 needles. Have fun
