ORIGINE VEGA HELMET - a year old helmet review used in the Philippines during extreme heat , rainy days and casual rides.
The Origine Vega is an ECE rated motorcycle crash helmet that is reminiscent of the ‘70s era. It looks like something Evel Knievel would wear during his stunt routine. I like the solid color (not a big fan of crazy graphics) and the conventional round shape. The shell is made of fiber glass for better impact absorption and to lessen weight as well. You could wear the Vega all day without any complaints. The soft faux suede inner lining also adds comfort.

I want my 5 minutes back. Who cares about how much the visor scratches or how much it damages when you drop it? You yourself have said that you used it during monsoon season, when it's very hot, etc. You have to talk about how it performs during those parts.

I just bought a used one and noticed the scratches on the visor like yours from hitting the chrome trim. I wanted to see if there was a way to avoid that but I guess not lol. Thanks for the review. Mabuhay!

Have you notice at the center of the chrome top trim there's some sort of cloth in there. That's our ticket to the scratches if you can re-produce it. 🤣😅

hi kuya, how’s the fit when toy were glasses? I’ve been reading online reviews since they don’t have a physical store here in US so i can’t check it out for myself.

No worries it fits well with glasses, the only problem on this Helmet are the screws, I never mentioned it in the view, Its hard to find a replacement when you lost them accidentally.

I was able to fit one thanks to my local distributor but I found it difficult to insert my ray-ban.

Please comment on wind noise in the helmet?

Yes, there is a bit of wind noise but tolerable, it is where the opening where you insert your head at the chin part, that gap is causing the wind noise, if you can seal that gap you may be able to reduce the wind noise. You also need to consider that, its a classic designed helmet where they ignored the wind noise, unlike the well designed helmets now a days. Hope this helps. 💯

Good question! I've experience a really heavy rain pour with thunder while riding from Valenzuela to Edsa, surprisingly even with eight vents open - four in front and four at the back the water never gets inside the helmet. The only concern you'll have during rainy days is fogging or mist on your visor, but that is easy if you have a Anti-fog or Mist spray for helmets visor.

Rusty window mag open kasi ung visor mo ung lock/unlock switch nasa midway ung levr nya.

Thank you ser, you are right that the lev is on midway, but it does not matter once you hear or pass the the "click" sound. I even went to my helmet just now to see if you where right. There's really nothing special about the round visor locks its just a simple lock made of plastic not metal, screwed in the earsides. You got good observation bro! Still its a good helmet overall.
