The Pope wears an iconic headdress called the mitre. But why does it look like that? Today I interview Dr. Katie Turner, an expert on ancient Jewish clothing and its interpretation in later centuries in Jewish and Christian art.

9:00 This is such a cool discussion! - i've been curious about church vestments (largely because i think they look cool) for a bit, particularly their potential origins in the 2nd temple period, I'd love to know more about that topic or see an interview about it. I'm also delighted by the thought of a Disneyland branded Mickey Mouse mitre.

Moses is equated to the age of the bull. His "death" marked the precession of the equinoxes from the bull to the ram. Moses, who is a personification of Aquarius and the rainy month of January, returns every Janus ary. Moses, as Ganymede, was abducted by Zeus and taken to Mt. Olympus. This became Exodus 19.4.
