ORIME was established by Hong Kong product designer and Chairman of Hong Kong Origami Academy Mr. Chan Pak Hei (Kade Chan) in 2005. ORIME means “Folding Creases” in Japanese, the products mainly focused on bringing the origami folding techniques into different industrial product design areas, such as fashion, houseware, furniture and medical, changing the function, shape, and size of the product through folding.
The handbags are the latest creation of ORIME in 2019, using origami folding techniques with genuine leather, transforming the handbag from flat to small size, big size or even more folding methods discovered by you. Not only saved the space for storage but also suits your daily changing style and the needs for different occasions!
The project was under the programme " NEXXT by D Twincities ", NEXXT is a brand that celebrates co-creation efforts of Hong Kong and other cities designers and enterprises. It aims to demonstrate the successful collaborations between the cities reflect the shared culture and values and improve people’s living through design.
