This is such a beautiful and understated piece. I liked it so much that I bought it 3 times, first time was the older model with printed Arabic numerals, sold it after a few years, bought the silver grey dial version, which was different, but missed the flat black dial, and bought the new version with applied Arabic numerals seen here.
Very nice alternative I discovered when I was looking at the IWC Mk. XVIII. More reasonable price and, shorter lug to lug (I can't go above 50 mm, personally).
There are 2 things that keep me from buying this watch. No micro adjustments on the band, no excuses for not have that and the second hand. It is very difficult to see it, and in the dark forget it. This watch would look good with a red second hand and more lumen at the tip. Good video well done. Thanks
I normally prefer white dials but this is just amazing. In fact, this watch has my favourite hands of any watch. Looks amazing in real life. It's up there with the Longines Spirit as 'peak watch'. Just wish they made them in 36!
I’ve been waiting for this one 🎉 Great review Rob. I’m hoping to pick one of these up later this year as a daily driver. It’ll be my first Swiss auto so although the lack of micro adjust and AR coating might be a bit of an issue, I’m glad that overall it got the RR seal of approval 👍
Yes, any all dial watch should come with 38mm size. 41mm and the dial extend all the way to the edge of the case will be very dinner plate like in your wrist
I like this watch. Have for a while - only areas for improvement for me would be to get it COSC certified and ideally to match the 4 on the date wheel with the fun 4 font on the dial. I think they missed a trick there
Have the blue version on bracelet. Awesome watch with maybe THE Best Crown Grip ever…it is different from the crown in this video. The crown on mine IS screwdown and I got it for under $1k.
The 41mm is perfect. The 44-45mm faces are too big. It’s not too thick and the raised white numerals on black face make it simple to see even when not wearing glasses. Just wish second hand had white tip. I like it with black nylon band, metal clasp. The metal clasp/band above is well made. 👍
It bothers me that the font for the "4" in the date window is different than the "4" at 4 o'clock. They should both be the font used for the "4" at 4 o'clock. I'll never buy this watch because of that.
Oris has really been stepping up their game. This is a sharp looking watch. Not sure why they felt the need to put "lift" on the bracelet clasp. Odd decision and completely unnecessary.
@@bettersteps My Omega Seamaster has two flanking pins you press together that opens clasp. It involuntarily opens when caught on my sleeve or jacket. Very annoying when watch falls off. Oris clasp seems better.
Too old fashion looking, too inaccurate, too pricey and too delicate. No thanks. It looks like an old wall clock on ones wrist. Like the wall clocks we all stared at in grade school.
