@@gunbay5015 There is no hard counter but you definitely want avoid things that are going to feed her like Orissa and DVA! Winston is probably a good pick, Sigma not bad and maybe a good hog but not ideal.
I Haven’t played Overwatch in a couple of years. Finally played and her spear spin is great, I agree. I don’t typically use it to push people off of maps but what I love doing is spinning them into a corner then throwing the spear and keeping them stuck there. I brought down a road hog at full health doing that twice in one game. So satisfying. Also really useful against DVA especially after she gets out of her suit.
I've just started playing & used Orisa. The spear spin was my go-to for both pushing & defending zones. Never pushed someone off a map, but used it plenty of times to remove contesting opponents. Even funnier when following it up with the javelin throw to push em further away
As an Orisa player in OW1 who loved using the shield and gravity ball to push, I was initially surprised at how wholesale the changes in OW2 were. But now after playing, the ability to charge in as a tank with a mobile shield and a giant javelin harpooning poor squishies is FANTASTIC. Nothing is better than single handedly pushing onto the objective and being the rallying point for your team to swing the balance of a game.
as someone who’s bad with orisa, what am i doing wrong? 😭 i try to manage my cooldowns, use shift when i have to, spear squishies, and spin to absorb bullets and push people away/into corners. also i don’t overheat my gun. i guess i used her on a bad map, i used her on push (new queens street) which i don’t rly like, on escort payload maps i think i’d do better on her
Zarya and Wrecking Ball are extremely hard to kill for me as Orisa, im glad you did these tank matchups so i know my experiences are not unfounded. Also the Roadhog Ulting on my Ult has also happened to me lol. I freaking love her spear throw, with shutting down mercy tryna rez being one of my favorite parts about it
I loved the original Orisa because she just felt satisfying to shoot with, but she wasn't very fun to actually play. But now with her spear? GEEZ, she's fun as all hell.
Little something I learned: if you’re gun overheats, try the javelin spin to block in coming damage while the gun cools down. You’ll still have like half a second left till the gun cools but whatevs
Pretty handy guide! I haven't played OW since Orisa originally came out 5 years ago, but her reworked changes have been such a joy to experience for the first time. I have like 17 hours on her in OW2 rn, but this vid still had a decent amount of info I wasn't privy to; good stuff for sure.
it feels so good to block a cassidy ult with spin, immediately block reapers ult when he jumps into ur team with spear, orisa is just so satisfying to play
Great guide came here to understand her ult more. Also last comp game these dudes tele copter me. Was watching this Orisa charge her ult I thought she mis clicked all a sudden she gets tp into the back line, instant 3 kills ahah

I wish Overwatch was primarily made for consoles cause it's clearly prioritizing PC a lot more than consoles. It's impossible to aim well on console & there's not even enough controls on the controller for everything.
Now that Overwatch is FTP I am playing it on-and-off so these videos are really helpful. Hope you do more... That way I won't unsubscribe. (oh you bet I'm blackmailing here) 😅
I had a blast playing her when OW2 first launched and dominated every match but now every game has a D.va/Zarya and it's getting harder and harder to play Orisa lol
I was originally pretty tough on orisas new rework . Even thou I don't think it's as horrible anymore I do wish they would have kept the og design in the game somehow ethier by giving us a choice between both or giving this design to a brand new hero entirely, I know it would not be the exact same but I think it could end up better by making the spear more a central part of there kit (maybe a futuristic harpoon like gun or a two sides electric cattle like pronge that could shoot balls of electricity just random ideas )
I actually thing that she’s a perfect counter for sigma as well. She can’t fortify against his Boulder and block his only attack. And fortify through his ultimate I love playing Otis’s against sigmas dvas and reins. The only tank she struggles with is wrecking ball and zarya imo
Balls easy, javelin when he’s swinging towards you, when he jumps out the swing, spear spin his ass and then javelin again so he can’t swing out and from there, beam until spin is available again.
dear people playing orisa, please don't go to the enemy spawn when you don't have a movement ability and enemy is still contesting the objectives and wiping the team. your support.
You seem like the best person to ask. How big is the Javelin spins hitbox? I know for sure it goes fucking miles beyond the animation, shot a sonar arrow absolutely nowhere near an Orisa doing Javelin spin and it blocked it. I shot the arrow at least the width of 2 or more Orisa's stood next to each other.
The tips on deflect are a huge help. I was using it to help push, cancelled devas alt once, and the speed boost to push. But i can also use it to bully?
To think people are saying orisa is OP in the forums now. Dude she is finally a tank and not a useless paper weight. So sick of these bad players claiming something is op in the forums till blizzard crumbles. Orisa is finally where she needs to be to compete in this game.

This horse girl is just a better sigma Her spear is almost a hitscan weapon and deals stun with no startup and sigma accretion is the same thing but with a slow start-up and slow projectile speed And orisa can use her spinning javelin to eat projectiles and has a movement speed buff while sigma has a longer duration with his black hole and gives a shield but orisa could just press shift and gives overheal and invincibility Plus she can easily hard counter reinhardt

It feels weird for rein to be the weakest tank now. His entire move set is supposed to be complemented with an off tank. Sucks cause I used to main rein as tank but good to try other tanks like ball, queen, and orisa
@@silverpro8356 believe that and you're going to drop a few ranks my friend. Every other tank has higher mobility and can outflank rein especially now there's no off tank to stop them
I played a bit of OW1, and just started OW2. I've always enjoyed Orisa, and this guide was super helpful. I do have a question though: For the poor match-ups, such as Zarya, Winston & Sigma, can you recommend which tank would be better to switch to during those games to counter play?
I started to play Tank and chose her for my go to for now. in qp. she is so fun and I can play agressive with her if my team follows. love it! I need to slow down with her xD
my friends say i play orisa like a dps because i go push to stop them from pushing payload. they also tell me to hold flank. do i need to hold flank as a tank? when they are 4v1 a doomfist and im 1v1 the other team. im so lost in how they want me to play. i need to stay with them and shoot their tank but then the other team push the payload a lot. and then i need to create space and i go in but ofc when no one gets kills other than me im at fault.
1:31 This is a really good guide, but the creator definitely underestimates the impatct of heat reduction of Fortify. When fortify is up you can spray the enemy without resting/'reloading" for a VERY long time. Break shields, crack the enemy tank, etc it's crazy how long she can attack without rest.
I could be wrong but i think she can now survive a dva bomb wiht fortify because yesterday i survived one by actovating fortify im not sure tho i might of been hit by a suzu im not sure
I’ve literally used full Terra surges in a group of people. Only to watch them lift off the ground and walk away when they land. Can someone send me a video or just explain to me what I need to do lol
sigma sucks against orisa, she can just fortify or javelin to cancel sigma cc and also just deflect his autoattacks, not to mention her fortify ignores his ult
I absolutely hate that they gave Orisa a rework & got rid of her giant shield. She was my favorite hero but honestly I don't think she is anymore cause they changed so much like removing the shield.
She messes up dva badly idk why people think dva beats her I bullied a dva when I play orisa it’s not even competitive never ran into a zarya but I’m assuming just keep your distance and toss the spear to stun lock and hopefully your teammates target zarya too
Um, what are saying at around 1:19? The thing I really want to know is how use her ultimate effective? Like when to just use it early to at least deal some damage than nothing at all? Because there are times when the enemies can just ran away from it. Also how do I know when the enemies are for sure not going away, if that's possible?
