the end bit on your tape that moves is spos to move it compensates the thickness of the chrome bit

Hey trojs isn’t the fact your winch swivels relevant surely it swivels for a reason because the pots or creels are retrieved at different angles from sea bed allowing winch to adjust to the angle ?

Is the winch not designed to take the loads imposed on it? or is your brace to compensate for the potential weakness of the mounting point on your boat? I kind of feel that the winch swinging and rotating could reduce loads on the mounting as it slews around to pull straight to the pot.....
