Orks! Learn to Play the Dread Mob in Warhammer 40k! 

Got my first 2 games using dread mob! Felt good dealing 14 damage to a ctan with a morkanaut and 2cp. Worth it!

For Bigger shells fir Bigger Gitz. "... add one to the damage characteristics of THAT attack..." I am fairly certain "THAT" refers to the attack made to a monster or vehicles. 12:00

I find that if you get a double hazardous, the best thing to do is add more hazardous with stratagems to make it "worth" the loss to units, since you are "capped" at hazardous on 1-2, no matter how many sources of hazardous you have (I got 4 on one)

Awesome video my friend, as always! Quick question? You get to choose/press the button per each weapon of a unit or just once per unit and all weapons in that unit will benefit from that specific buff?

I appreciate the insights so much, especially the grot tactics. I'm personally intrigued by the possibilities of a 20-boy unit with the new Big Mek and either a Warboss or a Painboy. With Dread Mob we have so many things that eat CP, it would be good to have a high OC, reasonably mobile problem solver unit to contest objectives and unleash a surprisingly decent amount of dakka without stratagem support.

If they had allowed the big mek to attach to killa kans… they’d solve his data sheet.

9 games in with Dread mob so far. Made top half at a GT. Played against knights 3/5 games. Love my killa Kans and loota bomb.

We do NOT get +1d against non vehicles. Until the end of the phase, each Time a model in your unit makes an attack against a monster or vehicle, add one to the wound roll. If you choose to push it, add one to the damage of THAT attack and, until the end of the phase weapons have hazardous. That attack clearly referring to the last attack which targeted a monster or vehicle. I love playing orks and it would be nice if it wasn't the case but grammatically it's correct.

great video! I would love if you did a sample 1000 pt and 1500 pt list focusing on what makes the final cuts, need to have vs nice to haves. Buying and painting 2k of dread mob and kult of speed in particular is a HUGE endeavor and testing a smaller list can let us Warbosses know how this feels and plays. I already can make any 2k list of Bully boyz, green tide, war horde, and great hunt since I have a ton of boyz, nobs, megas, and beast snaggas built and painted already.

Good info. With the lootas math you outlined, were you choosing Lethal or Sustained?

Great detachment.. I’ve always had a Mek Shooty Army but now it’s finally good. Had deal w/ many haters before lol. So bummed tho from the FW mini removed from this edition was going to rock x2 Mega Dreads x1 Meka Dread x2 Grot Mega Tanks and x8 Grot tanks.. got em all from GW through out the years..

I know you focus on the tournament scene, which doesn't allow legends. But in local small tournaments that do allow them, and friendly games, any thoughts on grot tanks and mega grot tanks? A unit of 8 grot tanks with rokkits seems like an even greater place for the stratagems than the killa kans.

Question, would you go for 10 lootas with a mek, and git finda goggles, over 2 Mek Gunz with mek with git finda goggles? I say 2 because the price range is the same. Or hell 3 Mek Gunz with Git finda goggles. I have been using 3 Mek Gunz (which are a bit more expensive than 10 lootas ofc) with KMK + Shokk attack gun mek with git finda goggles, and they did gods work. Of course they were slow, but they kept shooting at models on a specific objective. I feel like they can do the same work the lootas can, in that you can take both in to reserve and come out. the KMK with AP1 is identical to lootas when both use the Git Finda Goggles, the only difference is, you NEED to stack +1 to wound on lootas to kill vehicles, but you dont need that on the Mek Gunz.

Great video, I did want to point out you have misrepresented keywords here and how they work. When a key word is in bold it is looking at all keywords on a data sheet to make it work so Mek guns have the grot and vehicle so it is a grot vehicle. If use the way you described nothing in the codex would work using a deffdread as an example it hasn’t got the Ork Walker keyword as it doesn’t exist but it have Ork and Walker so it is an Ork Walker

Thanks for the overview, but kinda wish you'd go over some things instead of skipping them. Why shouldn't Nobz go with a leader? I understand the Stompa isn't competitive, but how can it best be used?

Why are the lootas led by a mek? Don't they have the rerolls of 1 already? I'm new to orks and my new codex hasn't arrived so maybe the answer lies there but if anyone can fill me in

Maybe grots vehicle was for tanks and megatanks before they decided to remove them?? Also mek gun :/

Hahaha I am going to play Dread Mob tonight against a friend who did put a 6 Dreadnaught + Canis Rex in a Space Marine list and I am literally do everything you shouldn't. 2 Deff Dreads, one with 4 KMB, Morkanaut and a Stompa but it is really only for fun and we want to see big Mech brawls :) Edit, forgot the importan part. I must be one of the only people who actually thinks it makes total sense for BSFBG to work RAW. If I'm shootin beakies I need bigger dakka than if I'm shootin knife ears and grots.

Hi, Art of war, vanguard tactics put orks in S tier, i just cant see it. Sure meganobz got better but they dont do much more dmg, they got more tanky. Nobz got a slight nerf Squighogboyz got nerfs. I watched the wargames live and tactical tortoise streams from The Richmond GT in the US. Best ork player was at place 14 second was at place 40 or something. We got some nice detachements sure but i dont see us taking over the meta. Maybe greentide would work well but yeah. whats your take? Love your videos btw.

You mention almost always wanting to take sustained. Is this because you're expecting to have strength over the opponent's toughness? My understanding is that Sustained is always better when you're wounding on 3+ or better, and Lethals are always better if you're wounding on 5+ or better.

For the list trukk in guessing for the meganobz and bmima u can only but in 5 meganobz and bmima

Grots Vehicle is "Grots" and "Vehicle"

Why would having keywords Grots and Vehicle not count? Who said it's got to be a combined keyword? Mek Gunz absolutely must count for Press Dat Button. Deffkoptas are Vehicle but not Grots, so they don't get included but can instead thrive in Kult of Speed.

Really not understanding the discrepancy with BS4BG. The rules seem clear to me.

Gonna argue for the sake of arguing but Ork walker doesnt exist either in the keywords. Orks is the faction keyword only. Everything else has walker part only so nothing "technically" works apart from mek units. We know this is wrong besides none of the words in the detachment description were in bold so its not refuring directly to the key word.

The controversy about the "Bigger Shells For Bigger Gitz" doesn't make any sense to me. If i think pure wording, then yeah we can have a debate. If i think about the spirit of the rule, which is being better against vehicle and monsters then no, it just doesn't make sense for it to apply to anything else.

I think this video has just as much silly controversy as information. The comments themselves reflect that. I dont think anyone should encourage or pretend that big shells is confusing. It sounds like arguing for a slight advantage I guess this is one way to get GW's attention

There's no "ork infantry" keyword either, they're "ork" and "infantry" but no "ork infantry" so I guess trukks technically can't carry anything. That or you shouldn't be suggesting mek guns aren't grot vehicles...

Anyone who's playing " big shells" to take advantage of getting +1 damage against anything not a monster or Vehicle isnt really a Ork player. Hes just a happy krumper custodians cosplaying as a ork 😅

All of the 10th edition detachments are trash and dread mob is the worst one of all the trash.
