This is my favorite song you've ever made. Everything about it is gorgeous to me. I have chronic pain and a chronic illness I've been dealing with as well as ptsd, and your music, especially this song, has helped take me away from my pain a good bit. Thank you. so, I was in a weird relationship some months ago and this song captures what I was feeling and thinking back then. I wasn't in love with this person and we kept pushing it, hoping that feelings would appear if we kept trying. It's amazing how a song can have many interpretations and apply to so many situations. I've been listening to this song on repeat for a while now and I LOVE IT, The music video is so goooood. Just makes me want to listen to it more. It's interesting how we all can listen to the same song and apply to a bunch of different scenarios/our own lives. When I first heard this song, I related it to how I was feeling at the time--I was hoping a friend would get my hints that I wanted us to be more than that and, well, "figure it out". Like the lines "It's not hard to read my mind when I'm making it so obvious" and "I see your name light up on my phone, I feel a little differently about you than I did not long ago" how that could be from "lovingly to Orla's original thoughts behind this song. Her whole album really speaks to me.

After watching your early early cover of Bright Eyes- First Day of My Life, I got inspired and bought my own uke. I still have lyrics to Handlebars memorized and I was in tears both times I saw you in concert with Dodie. I was just a sad teen girl in Mongolia thinking that I’d never be close enough to Ireland or Europe at the least to see you in concert but I got to see you in NYC twice!
