As an adult, I could see how this could happen, and sometimes on accident…. there once was a dinner that was supposed to be adults only. A friend brought a toddler we were all drinking and I forgot the toddler was sitting near by. I started talking raunchy until the friend who brought the kid called me out. I apologized, but at the same time I reiterated to her that this was not the environment for kids 🙄 I guess what I’m saying is I could see adults having the attitude that it’s not their responsibility since that’s not their kid and that it’s a grown-up environment and they should be able to speak and act the way that they want. In other words, it is up to the parent and solely the parent to protect these kids.

He was a child, and this traumatized him. If trauma goes untreated, the traumatized person will emotionally remain at that age of development. They were grown, yes it was a long time ago, but for a child, this can be traumatic.
That is so true. A therapist told me that 2 years ago. Every thing that a person does , if not gotten help/therapy before 7 every move and decision is coming from that trauma or negative experiences that person had as a child.

You don't know how different things affect different people. Not only that, we don't know everything that he's seen or that has happened to him.

@@acidicsoul4978 Easier said than done because of the divorce laws and how they de incentive bread winning men from leaving just as you suggest. I think if prenups became standard practice more people would divorce and move on. Knowing that your spouse is getting half of your empire if you decide to leave prevents that seemingly simple decision. It’s sad but, cheating in a marriage is actually more cost effective because of these horrible laws and if you get caught cheating she can’t take more than half but if you don’t get caught you get to keep all your money. So from that perspective cheating is actually incentivized. It’s a crazy world we live in.
@@acidicsoul4978 divorce laws incentivize cheating rather than getting a divorce for men who a bread winners because you lose half of your assets. If you divorce because you’re unhappy it messes up your finances and potentially your ability to take care of yourself as well. When you look at how the laws work you realize there’s more incentive to cheat and hope that you can keep all of your assets. Consider selling the family home and splitting the money in half in the housing market for instance. Most people can’t take half the value of their house and buy anything close to what they had. It’s a crazy world we live in.
Usually folks who have had tragedies physically happen to them as a child Usually comes out as a adult by mental issues , problems with narcotics , problems with alcohol and other way that effect them drastically and those around them. It’s called C-PTSD. As a child you can’t really understand what’s happening, so you can’t identify with what’s affecting you. How it’s affecting you, or why. Generally, it takes years to do so. Research shows that it tends to peak in early twenties, and in his defense he’s been saying things of this nature for years. Just look at his co-stars. Those babies were exposed to way too much 😔

The only thing you can to is learn new ways to process and manage it. Just looked up Orlando Brown (had totally forgotten about him since Major Payne) and damn, I feel for the guy. He looks way older than 36, you can see it in his eyes.

When I was a waitress in the Caribbean I was his server but they weren’t friendly they didn’t talk to each other at the table. They look so unhappy and uncomfortable. Shortly after I heard they came to the Caribbean to try and salvage their marriage. But it didn’t work they got divorced. Then I realize why they look so mean and unfriendly.
What I meant by that is we love to condemn others for their flaws and mistakes as if their mistakes are unique to them and we all can't fathom somebody doing such things, when we all got our shortcomings but because we aren't famous our mishaps are ours alone. I can't judge Damon Wayans no more than he can judge me. We learn from our mistakes and try to become better people.
