Philippe Herreweghe is a fantastic conductor who has a special understanding of old music and baroque. However, he's not the only conductor who specializes in this music. What makes him special is that he's got a fantastic feeling of sonority, sound, and rythm. By sound i mean that he always chooses the right voices, who always sing in their best range and timbre. they always have a balanced approach, without cheap effects or superficial emotions. Congrats to the conductor and the singers!!!
