Furitek will have 3 available. Linked is scale news where I seen this announcement: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aDFhdYh5TeA.htmlfeature=shared
Finished mine a month ago, metal drive shaft, brushless. Realy cool, hard to build sometime (some partd didn't align properly). There is a metal replacement part for the bottom chassis plate but no review so i dont know if that fit better them the stock one . I had to use somt epoxy on the roll cage to properly align the motor chassis plate (and make new hole). The only real problem i had was the dumbo rc receiver i ordered was DOA and i had to use a big receiver (it take half the cabin space)
The bottom plate alignment issue is a real downer. I think the epoxy method is good; I've seen people cutting and regluing the cage strategically to align the holes too, but seriously none of us should need to do this. I'm passing on the alloy chassis plate (and rear links and axle end caps) for now; I think the weight of the truck is already in the sweet spot.
Great choice and enjoy! I have another video that focuses on the build and the trickier areas there. That might be useful too. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6ns8wmGWbSA.html
Awesome video, thanks for all the details. I really want one. I am just wondering whether it is being discontinued (or just sold out). One doesn't even seem to be able to all the all the necessary parts from one single place (amainhobbies, banggood, etc.)
Thank you! I'm not under any impression that this is discontinued at all. In fact, I saw Orlandoo showing photos for new alloy upgrades for this truck (not available to buy yet).
@@sammybaka you are correct indeed. I got steered by the availability from shops in DE / EU and they are mostly without the kits and have no extra parts. Anyhow - looking at both the Trophy Truck and Kyosho Mini-Z buggy - I am having a hard time to pick a Christmas present for myself :)
The one I bought came with no power switch and a wrong parts tree for the rear axle housing (also they haven’t fixed the skid plate not fitting the roll cage) I can’t find their email anywhere either
@@sammybaka they won't respond to my emails but i found the parts tree online and i stole a switch from my little brothers old car that did not work anymore so when the parts tree comes the car should be good as new
Good luck! Those tiny wires and solder points can be quite challenging. Soldering is a super useful skill though so it's worth the efforts to practice.
Thanks! The buggy is more versatile and capable, while the trophy truck is more scaled and indoor friendly. If I had to pick one I would go with the buggy.
