Poor Ormonde! Kept under a tight rein when he so wants people to just give him his rightfully deserved space! I love that the guard keeps giving him reassuring pets. It's very sweet. People are intentionally annoying Ormonde and that is extremely cruel, as he can't do anything about it. You can see how frustrated he gets.
Ormonde he just likes the taste of tourists!!! John..London City Walks does the "Jaws" theme tune when tourists get close!!! 🦈🦈🦈Hilarious!!! 😂😂😂 Great video Buska..thank you for doing what you do!!! Much love!! xxxxx ❤❤❤
I was going to say the same, Arnie definitely has a reach. Arnie heard you I think Buska, he was staring you out when you said he didn’t look happy, it looked like he was quite sad he didn’t manage to get a few decent bites in, somethings been done or aid or them to be keeping such a tight rein now. Maybe because it’s coming up to summer holidays and kids, but when you get parents who can clearly tell that a horse is in a biting mood, why do they stand and watch it and then go and stand with their small child right next to the horse, it’s just absolute stupidity , they even have to child in between themselves and the horse at the exact height of the horse face. I don’t get the mentality of some parents/Guardians/Carers etc, some have no sense in my mind.
I'm sorry Buska, I really do love your channel, but sometimes watching gets unbearable. I know someone on here is going to have something to say, but I really don't care. I know that these horses are well taken care of and treated kindly by the caretakers and guards. But, growing up around horses, this is so cruel what they are allowing, especially for a horse like Ormonde. Letting people touch and get close to a horse who does not like it and restraining or sedating him is a terrible thing to do. He is being forced to endure something that he doesn't want to do. That is considered cruelty to animals. If any person was told they had to do something like this against their will, how would they feel, being held back and letting people touch you when you don't want them to. These are highly intelligent animals and this is so wrong to do and that is a miserable life for this poor horse. Unfortunately, it's going to take someone's face to be ripped off for anyone to do something about this.
The Troopers and horses are on duty in the box for 1 hour then changed over , first duty begins at 10 am last ends at 4 pm so horses may do 3 hours on duty but not necessarily as a horse may be replaced . The two regiments change every two days so the same horses and Troopers aren't there all the time .
I understand it's a test of wills between horse and rider, and the guard is doing a great job at tempering Ormonde's behaviour, but you can sure tell, he's not liking it. If this is training for summer tourist season, is it fair to go against his natural instinct at wanting his own space? Just saying
