Tourists all over the place changing of the guard no one is moving quick enough horse's wait to go men start arguing police intervien #thekingsguard #london #horseguardsparade #armedpolice #horse
Maybe they need to go back to the way it was years ago, no touching the horses, you can still have you photo, but no touching anymore, as you’ll be a couple of feet away. Just a thought, then keeps the space around the guard & horse free, & just in case horse gets spooked, less danger to the public
Did he just claim to be ex-Household Cavalry? 🤣🤣🤣 One thing you notice about veterans of Guards Regiments is that they never lose their posture. They stand as ramrod straight in their 80s as they did in their 20s.
A soldier can always recognise a soldier, I know, I've been commented on my posture, gait as well as general attitude; because those who know the military or have served still have some respect for what it stands for! I am now 60 and although I am not as fit or have the same physical, prowess as I did back then I would like to believe I can still hold my own and with honour!
@@iananderson1231 Especially British and Commonwealth countries the drill is so rigid and pounded into you. Not knocking any other counties its just the British style
My feelings about rude idiots like this, should be fined. Officers are just doing their jobs. The Guards were getting b ready to leave, your standing there blocking their path flapping your gums. Obviously you've been drinking.
from the perspective of the guy the police officer was the rude one. he just walks up to the guy and tells him to get back, get out of the way, as if everyone understands what's happening. all the guy had to do was say "changing of the guard, step back". and he would have understood why he was being told to step back and it wouldn't have come off as so rude. You just go up to someone and say "get out of the way" the persons just going to be confused as to what they are in the "way" of... police need to be able to communicate well with the public, and this guys limit is shouting vague commands at people... and they let him have a gun, but not actual intelligent people? christ.
I wrote what someone I knew experienced at the hands of the Met in "the good ol' days" but it was obviously a bit too much for YT so they deleted it. However, despite some of their excesses I would prefer to go back to the older ways regardless.
@dylanandmolly3739 good old days as you call them are long gone now everyone's got a camera phone keeping the old bill in check thus avoiding a good kicking round the back alley, I'd say these are the good new days🤣
Yes I agree, I live in CA, and there are so many crazies, one here killed a girl walking her dog, in a good beach area, too!.... but, I feel for the Guards and horses and MOD.....
Yes he has, disturbing the peace. Behaving suspiciously warrants arrest. He could be a threat to public order. At least issue a fine, say £250 for being a dickhead and not moving on. Good start.
This is a perfect example why tourists should not be allowed near the Guards & the horses-talking back to police with armed guns and being disrespectful! Something should be done!
@@macadoom00 These horses are the best trained in the world. What has changed is the level of disrespect from the tourists who think the notices do not apply to them. Even horses with the best temperament can decide they have had enough, want to quit or react. Personally, I would like to see barriers to keep the people out of touching distance. I don't remember these problems when I lived in London in the sixties, and certainly not more than the occasional horse acting up.
It's about time the public were fenced off from the soldiers and horses, who are there to do a job of work. What would be the reaction of a member of the public if they were to be bitten or kicked by a horse?? Probably "I'll see you in court"!! I wonder what the horse would reply??
They are bitten all the time, especially if Ormonde is on duty. In one of the videos, Ormonde clamps down on some guys forearm and will NOT let go, the guy looks at the guard and says "he's biting me and wont let go" and the guard just shrugs. They can't sue even if they wanted, there are signs clearly saying "this horse may kick or bite" if they continue then its by their choice, which eliminates any chance of going to court.
@@Nobby76 Thank you for your input. My comment regarding "fencing off" was genuine, the bit about "going to court" was a certain amount tongue in cheek. However, I do remember a court case some years ago concerning someone who had stroked a dog and been bitten. There was a clear notice about it being a "dangerous dog". It was adjudged that the notice was no defence and the owner was fined and had to pay damages. I suppose it comes down to "wording" and "interpretation"??
Thank you for standing up. I’m dual, uk/usa, when I go home the changes stand out more between visits. I get emotional sometimes, my American gf got, pissed when I almost clocked a guy like this, not far from there. Liberal. Clueless, no respect to ancient culture. They’d never walk over the Japanese like that, probably get karate chopped by crowd.
People like him ramble on so loud wanting to be heard and wanting to be right, he was waiting for anyone to side with him and no-one did. Nobody cares what people in that mindset think or want.
There needs to be more prominent signage, in various languages, stating Don’t touch the horse. This is shocking and embarrassing. As someone else stated, it’s not a petting zoo. I can’t believe this….
to stand around doing fa all day? they should be somewhere else doing actual police work, not acting as the royal families personal armed guard. meanwhile everyone else cant even protect their own homes with so much as a spoon or they get arrested. whatever they're getting paid its too much.
No way that drunk is ex Household Cavalry…and 20 years at that! Neither is he ex military from any other regiment, nor Royal Air Force! Have another drink to give you more bravado…
Everything about that guy says petty criminal, from his faded appearance, speech pattern, being intimidated by people just doing their job, his over defensiveness of his own actions through verbally attacking the officers. What a waste of space.
I’m sure he’s not the first and he won’t be the last to act like he’s batshit crazy 🤪 He’s an embarrassment to the country, soldiers and police force that do their job day in & day out.
