Sorry, I misspoke in the video. The Viper ultimate does in fact have a DPI button on the bottom of the mouse. I had a mild stroke before filming that clip in the video apparently lol. It does have a RGB indicator as well, so you DO NOT need synapse to change the DPI steps. However, you will need razer synapse to unbind the right side buttons on the mouse - after which you can than uninstall Razer Synapse and be done with it.

I had a mini stroke watching that clip LOL!! What sensitivity, FOV, and DPI are you using in Apex? I don't play this but am curious based on grip type and I ask because all of the technical data supporting higher DPI (you mentioned 400 and 800dpi) and polling is hard to refute since its measurable. I ordered this to go a long with my Superlight and Viper 8k. Razer's Gigantus V2 is a beast pad with the Viper. Much better than my others with the Viper skates. Superlight I had to add some Tigers and use with my XRay AC pad. The amount of telemetry processes in Synapse is TERRIFYING.

Welp. That was a let down. For being a very small handed person, I was really hoping it'd be smaller than it ended up being. It's definitely small, for sure, but not in a particularly comfortable way. I guess there's a difference between a "mouse for small handed people," and a "small mouse, but for regular size handed people." To be fair, I mostly adapted to it pretty quick, but what I couldn't adapt to was the rubber on the scroll wheel being the LEAST grippy thing I've ever seen. Pair that with the very thick notches in the scroll wheel, and I would more often than not, straight up be unable to turn the scroll wheel mid firefight. The biggest offender though, is the fact that Razer's software straight up doesn't detect the mouse, and you better believe I searched high and low for any and all help. Razer's customer support has yet to get back to me after two days, and I'm basically at the end of my rope. I'll have to return it and keep searching for the perfect "actually small mouse for small handed people."

As someone who has put in the hours with both mice I can say without a doubt it’s hard to pick between the 2. My switches in the GPX feel amazing. I actually took out the omrons and replaced with the Kailh 4.0 and it’s crazy good. One thing I did notice was the Orochi doesn’t have the same grip as the GPX. The GPX sticks to my hand and the orochi feels very slippery. They both are good mice. If the orochi had grips like the GPX I would go for it. Also, my wireless dongle for the orochi actually came apart when taking it out of my pc. I never had any issues with my GPX it is a solid mouse.

Superb review !!! Very true and real and highly informative (especially the tactile roughing to prove the build quality) I actually was looking for the best wireless full body mouse (buttons and body made from the same continuous pieces) and at the point where Orochi seemed to be the one ;) Logitech was always my go to but know (more agressively than ever) I am looking out for everything out there that actually earns my respect and money (mice and practically any other product really), Soooo ... I guess until Logitech realises that unibody is the only way to go for any kind of user that appreciates a clean product with zero - minimal maintenance I'll have to go with something like Razer Orochi v2 or better. No more seams on top of the mouse good only for ramping up dust, pet fur and dead skin and nothing else really as all design there is lost when in use beneath the hand ... please !!! In fact, I would applaud any true real design (form + function + structure) where the unibody top goes over the bottom part of the mouse is also a unibody with just the receised sensor opening showing + a floating scroll wheel = completely spill-proof + dust-proof ultra minimalistic approach (all LED usefull info like DPI, battery and more could be placed underneath the top cover behind translucent areas and ONLY THEESE LEDS COULD MAYBE, MAYBE BE LIGHTLY TOYED WITH AS RGB "personalisation" = usefull led that could accomodate some animation and color to a tiny extent and no SHOW LIGHTS)

@fakename144 2 года назад
One thing I will contest as an Orochi user, is that this mouse has a terrible coating and lacks grip. You seem to love it, and that's great, but I find that my hand slips off this thing as though I was trying to climb a dirty chalkboard. This was easily fixed with bt.l grip tape, but in no world do I think that the Orochi beats out superior coatings like the ones found on the Superlight and the XM1. Once again, maybe this is a personal preference thing, or is good for people with certain hand types?? but seriously, I've never used a mouse that had a more slippery surface. Otherwise, yes, I agree that this is a fantastic budget wireless mouse, and I can't wait to see how it holds up over time. I'm always a little nervous about buttons that are attached to the shell (especially a removable shell), but so far so good.

Because as far as I know there is no extension cable for the dongle included so I have to plug it directly into my PC which is under my desk. Hey so just wondering I had a glorious model o- and switched to g pro x superlight because whether it be the weight distribution or the sides being smaller I had a hard time using fingertip grip with the o- especially when moving around really fast (I have pretty fat fingers). With the g pro x superlight being bigger and with better weight distribution this isnt a problem at all and I dont feel my fingers and thumb slipping from the side at all. Using fingertip grip on both does the orochi v2 have as much grip as the superlight and are the sides similar in size to the superlight in terms of supporting a chubbier thumb for fingertip grip. My hand is overall small to medium so the orochi v2 length is probably more ideal anyway just need to know if I can grip it especially when playing fast paced, Thank you! Sorry for the long comment.

¿What are the specs that u consider pros and cons over to each other (GPX vs Orochi v2) ? I already have a viper mini, but nowaday im playing in low sens and the cable is being a trouble, so i want switch to a wireless mouse, so i'm so doubtful which to get. Considering that in my country i gotta spend $93 usd for the Orochi v2 and $125 for the GPX.

I have had great build quality with the Orochi and really unlucky build quality with the GPX. The Orochi offers more maneuverability with the mouse in your hand because it does not have the large hump in the middle. If you do not like small mice though, you might be better off trying to get a good copy of the GPX

@@FreshReviewsYT I bought the mouse by the fact that is small and i had had a good experiencie with the viper mini, also obsviously your opinion helped me too. I'm playing apex at 1.4 sens at 400 dpi without problems, the shape of the mouse is really good, i think that i made the best choice. Thanks for the video. I'm in the process of searching for a new mouse at last. I'm using some hybrid between finger grip and pincer claw (back side of the mouse goes into the knuckle under the pinky) with the mouse rotated counter clockwise a bit. Hand size is 18.1/10.2. RVU fast test felt OK in a store. Can't test the orochi yet though. What do you think would be better option for me? Btw, subscribed :)

The only downside right now is that the orochi v2 is not on amazon and razer take literally two weeks to ship anything... Mine was ordered last week and should be here by Friday. I have a g pro and I have the same issue where I feel the mouse is too large in the back to fingertip how I want to, so hopefully the orochi will be a better shape for me. For reference I have 21cm by 10.5cm hands.. Will update this comment after I play with the mouse for a few days. But dope comparison man, I also feel like it's direct competition to the G pro and ultimate, but a lot of other reviewers are stuck at pinning it against the g305. So obviously it won't beat the 305 in price but it's got a different shape, it's much lower weight and the size is a big factor for most people

I have all 3 mice and the orochi could of been end game but my accuracy dropped in aim labs (flicking scenarios) and I couldn't figure out what was off with the mouse. I finally Did a dpi deviation test and found the orochi's true dpi to be around 870-890 when set to 800dpi. Changed dpi to 700 to counter the inaccuracy, but the sense still feels off compared to other mice. This has nothing to do with sensor position, but a huge error in dpi deviation.
@FreshReviewsYT
@FreshReviewsYT 3 года назад
Has that caused you to swap mains? Or did you change your sensitivity to adjust
@II_Kray
@II_Kray 3 года назад
@@FreshReviewsYT Yeah this issue made me change to the GPX as my main. I really wanted the Orochi to work but the deviation error is too large. Synapse only scales by 100 dpi & the only other way to get it accurate would be to manually measure out your 360/cm. But if it's a software issue Razer can resolve via a firmware update, i would definitely give it another try...

Ice are the fastest but that may not neccesarily be a good thing if ur mousepad is already fast as u will sacrifice control. The ice feet i put on my gpx would cause some scrstching on pad cause the sensor ring isnt rounded and same has been reported by others. I took my sensor ring off and it was still really fast. The G PRO X Superlight removed the DPI button for a reason, and that reason is to reduce weight on the mouse-they made gaps on the scroll wheel, removed the RGB feature, and last but not least the DPI button. In my opinion, the built quality on the G PRO X Superlight is actually pretty good. You showed the side flex of the mouse buttons here on this video, but who does that while your gaming, so of course you would judge its built quality terrible. The side buttons could be personal preference-some people like it, but I think most people like the side buttons, for me personally. I have been enjoying the G PRO X Superlight because of the weight, and its shape. Another thing that I want to point out is that I have no issues on using a software to change the sensitivity, since you only use one sensitivity of your preference.
@FreshReviewsYT
@FreshReviewsYT 3 года назад
I had to mention the build quality being worse out of the three, because objectively and subjectively it just is. That doesn’t make it a bad mouse. I just don’t prefer it over the other two. When I referenced build quality, that took into account M1 M2 M4 M5, bottom plate flex, worse magnets for the bottom plate, and a quick mold fix for where the right side buttons were which is pretty odd in and of itself, and a surface texture that degrades and peels over time (white copy more so than the black). Depending on your batch of the mouse, the side flex can be much worse than displayed in this video - and yes, when you’re spraying someone in game while tracking you can feel it moving over the switch beneath. I have no issue personally with downloading software, but many people do. Be that as it may, I should point out that GHUB is terrible.
