Oh my Dr Ginger what a light you are to the world. For over 50 years I have a tiny step at a time moved forward because of some very truthful, non gaslighting advice a DO gave me when I was but 24 years old . He pointed out to me thst I was not showing any symptoms that would warrant performing this test ( his words) but thst I may have let my mind get away with me out of fear. Then he asked me what happened that threw me into this fear! ( yes he really ask ) Do keep in mind this was before the insurance, medical, & pharma cabal created a schedule performed based on age for salary 😉😉 ( that’s what I call it 😉 your age-their salary) The DO have me 3 action steps and told me to stay as close to them as I could. That was one of the most blessed days of my 72 years ! Thank you for your work and for empowering women like the precious DO cared enough to do for me all those years ago 🥰

Thank you, very interesting. I have a question: as soon as I put my hands even near the throat, not even touching, my heartbeat gets faster and harder, my throat tightens and feels very uncomfortable.

That is the response I'm talking about - the sympathetic nervous system going into "vigilance" mode - it's protective and necessary during times of stress and survival. But sometimes it can get "stuck" in the "on" mode - and then vigilance, necessary for survival, becomes hypervigilance. The good news is, working on vagal tone can change that! One video I have that could help is the vagal massage: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CKt-uZ4OgOM.html Additionally, sacral pressure and rocking, weighted blankets, sandbag breathing (another video on my channel!) can all help. Look up the Sensory Diet video too - I have had to redirect this link so please give it 24 hours before looking it up - integrativelifestylemed.com/manage-stress-trauma-with-this-simple-daily-yoga-habit-the-sensory-diet/

I use to have intense scary breakdowns: my throat tenses so heavily, the pain is like being strangled and fear overwhelming my brain that I have the feeling of falling into a black hole, dying (yet there is nothing in reality just the emotion of grief)… for decades I tried to explain that pain and this moment of feeling of dying, but everyone yet had no explanation or help. So I told myself it has to be a trauma from earlier incarnations ( maybe being killed by cutting my throat…). So when it happened I went through it, alone. Dearest Dr. Garner, thank you deeply for this explanation and the support you are giving here so nurturing! I am grateful for your work and your amazing videos ❤

I have a problem when I want to talk rising my voice, my throat starts exhausting rapidly and feels with inflammation. I want to have a thick voice, but can't due to this and sound like a nerd. How do I fix this?

Great question - but let me ask - what do you mean by "thick voice"? Deep voice?

@@DrGingerGarner I'm in my late 20's, but still sound like a sissy young nerd instead of a fully grow man, for some reason. I want to read scripts, but because of my voice, ppl may not take me seriously when I talk.

@@DrGingerGarner I'm in my late 20's, but I sound like a effeminate nerd for some reason, instead of a fully grown man. I want to read scripts in public, but bc of my weird voice, ppl may not take me seriously. Also it happens to me when I try to modulate my voice, sound in one way, but when I record myself with a microphone, I hear the nerdy voice and like I'm unable to make tones (ABCDEFG tones), no matter how hard I try.

What have you tried in terms of vocalization practice? @@DmndT87

@@DrGingerGarner Tried the following: -Went to oratory classes, didn't work (unable to make any kind of raising voice exercise). -drinking lemon with garlic in boiled water. It burned my throat, and almost choked. didn't work. -Tried to speak from my throat and not my mouth's entrance, didn't work either. That's all what I did. Maybe I'm not expelling enough air when talking, can't tell.
