A squishy spellcaster. A squishy spellcaster with heavy damage, heavy mobility, precision is rewarded, misplays are punished, and aggression is encouraged. LOVE THIS HERO! I always wanted a spell caster hero that can really get in there and THROW DOWN. Really get INTO the mix and fight up close. Orphea not only can do this, but encourages it. Shadow waltz for all eternity so your enemies can't escape. Someone managed to escape? Use Dread with the slow perk to stop them~. This hero actually puts a smile on my face. Everything is geared towards, "COME HERE!!!!!" and dealing truckloads of damage. Best part, you're still a squishy wizard. Misplays can get you punished HARD! And that chance for FAILURE hanging over you at all times makes it that much more exciting! You gotta play well if you wanna live. Sorry, gushing... This hero is just so dope. I'm a cheapskate too, but that didn't stop me from buying some skins for her. Edit: Something I noticed a while ago and I'd love to point out now, spells scale with levels. Honestly, that's one quality point I'd give to this game over others. In DotA 2, your spells are nice, but their damage kinda falls off in the late game. The average burst damage spell does around 300-400 magic damage, and later on with all the HP and resistances, it just isn't as threatening as it was in the early game. Heroes of the Storm however? Ohohohoooo~. They scale with you~. Your spells, as well as enemy spells, are threatening at all points of the game.

She has the skill set of an entire team comp together

Anyone else think it's weird that Blizzard announced two separate characters for two separate games that both have white hair and red eyes? Like seriously, Ashe and Orphea look like they could be sisters... or mother and daughter.

She has some of the best in-game visual effects, good work Blizz!

The whole art style of Orphea is amazing, especially the interplay between her and her shade. The kit and playstyle seem great, too!

Regardless of everything else about her, her abilities are visually excellent. Every ability really looks great.

I was expecting her powers to be Raven-themed, but you know what? I'm cool with what they've worked out for her. Can't wait to play! Also, seriously guys, give them some credit for what they're doing for HotS; we all want Deathwing and Imperius, but expanding the HotS universe with heroes of its own is a really good thing. Just dreading the lewds that're gonna pop out...

Heroes of the Legends or League of the Storm?

So some opinions: -Although Heroes is supposed to be a fanservice-y game with characters from other blizzard titles, we got most of the notable characters so I guess this is fine -I'm guessing that the heroes team wants the game to be more carry-able and more like League because her entire skill set looks like it belongs in a league game, which is fine? If no other characters in other universes really fit that slot I could be fine with her being a "League representative." -Please make her interesting as a character. What I mean is like when you play Li Ming and you play as this self-obsessed overconfident wizard who's totally justified in being that way. That part of her character makes her more interesting and attracts more players. I hope we can see something like that represented in Orphea. Other than that, the gameplay update looks really interesting so I wonder where this can take heroes because I really want this game to have more traction than its current state.

These abilities are too graphically invasive. how i am supposed to see a Jaina's Q (a little white ice cone which takes 1/3 of my health bar) and try to dodge it when my screen is filled with purple garbage which I can probably not even dodge as long as its aimed correctly? I am fine with the 2 heroic abilities being so visible as you need to be aware of these but I am talking about the other 2, the tentacle arm and the bite thing. One of the best thing about this game is how clean it is graphically compared to other mobas, so that I can actually try to be aware of whats happening in a 5v5 teamfight, rather then have my screen filled with sparkles and just mush my buttons and hope for good. I am fine with the anime teenager vampire, but pls keep the gameplay intact, lets not turn this game into a LoL clone Activis... i mean Blizzard.

I know they have issues with balancing new assassins but this one just looks absolutely ridiculous.

I like her a lot. Really cool design, skill effects and what looks like a fun kit to use.

blizz has been planning this for months now it started with them wanting to add lore to hots through the comics and the new nexus themed events. people should have already seen this coming.

I think it's cool y'all decided to make an entirely new character that is based in Nexus lore instead of in one of your other franchise's games. Cool and unique, I like it. Good job y'all. ♥

I for one love everything about this hero's design. I think it looks totally awesome and particularly appreciate the artwork and the ability kit. Orphea's ults are going to be simply amazing for creating wombo combos.

Don't at all understand the dislikes. This is a truly incredible thing that they're doing and I support them 110% in this.

Basically its a female alucard, who carries the coffin around on her back, instead of out of sight. Congrats blizzard. Real original. Atleast the cinematic was decent.
