I had this happen many many times i ended up going for philips coral care gen 2 zero issues now :) hope you get it sorted mate its quite a common issue with orphek
Have you checked if the LED-Board is also covered with heatpaste ? On my 3 Orphek there was not a single grs heatpaste, this is also one of the issues. If there is no heatpaste the heat from the board itself will poorly transfered to the heatsink.
For how much these cost that’s way too early for chip failure-2 yrs?!! I have led fixtures over 5yrs old and I’ve never had any chip fail. This seems way too common with orpheks…. Are the heat sink and fans inadequate for cooling this light?
I understand that the chips that the orphek brings are 5w which are working at 3w to avoid excess heat, I see that you are directly using 3w chips, did you have any problem with it? or are they working fine?
@@ModernReefer where is the link? i need some replacements but still tryin to figure out for sure which are bad? found one but when i jump it it lights up with about half the other lights on the one end only. the other end still no light? do you have a video for something like i am experiencing? would really like to find some leds though as orphek is holding me over a barrel wanting $40 shipping for a $4 LED
I thought about that but it's expensive to replace at the moment. I know the Icon app seems to be solid so maybe I'll consider this when the LED replacement becomes burdensome.
