Just got this myself too, for the price the front cam is pretty good I think - good enough picture and can pick up license plates - the rear though I think is only good for showing someone behind being at fault of hitting you as the quality is fairly poor - but thats what you get from a budget cam I suppose =p
Have you had an issue with Loop recording. I’ve tried different time settings but it keeps recording multiple recordings. Doesn’t seem to be looping ? Any help ?
I pushed the wires in with a flat head screwdriver and it damaged the cable, my mistake but they are pretty thin ... plus i had no spare sockets for my dog n' bone so what i did was get a multi-port charger for in the car so i had two spare sockets and then got a 4m juicebitz usb to mini b cable and fixed this in its place instead... much thicker and powers on instantly... just wish they did the one from front to back and the rear camera is a bit naff... why do they make the wires so easy to damage??? surely these don't cost much???, needs better res. also the S680 is ok but they're all pretty much the same and fraction of price of garmin etc. If we change the car ill go for S900 model or this S800 one as all 1080p but not changing it now... good video thanks but advise everyone not to use a screwdriver really just prize the headlining and plastic back with it then push it in with a credit card to prevent damage ;)
I have this camera but can't figure out how to protect footage. Let's say I have a crash and don't want the footage to be overwritten. Is there a way to protect the footage?
I have the same cam on the video but my cam records up to 5 minutes and resets back to 0 after and I dont have the loop feature on why does this happen. Why can't it record the entire time i drive
Just got given one from a friend who didn’t know how to use it .hasn’t got any instructions. Noticed you got a menu up almost immediately saying I’m just going through navigation. You haven’t said what button you’re pressing, it looks like the m button, but mines not getting any menu . I’m pretty close to launching this shite over the road
hmm, not impressed by this review. The test video at the end does not demonstrate that car number plates can be read, I could not even make out the street name plate. It may be that the camera mounted position is not helping as it is mostly filming the sky, not the road in front. I therefore remain unconvinced of the picture quality compared to my (now old) Nextbase dashcam - I suspect as a budget price item this review is simply confirming that you'd be better paying more for a better dash cam
