I just got these for my braces because I tried elastics and was in incredibly pain. My doctor called them “Plan B Wires” because they wanted to try and correct my overbite as much as possible without elastics to lesson the pain lol
Ayda Sh Yes! Your molars with the wire will most likely be in more discomfort then your other teeth, but this is because it’s pushing your molars out. It also helped even out my bottom teeth, and once I was able to use elastics it provided major movement between appointments.
It looks like my issue is deep bite, not overbite. And what I got is traditional braces with 3 first molar extracted. I am going through a mental breakdown. I had a very attractive smile. Why did I do this to me.
Jay Jayyy isn't bite plate a better option? I have got removeable bite plate which does not hurt . It took few days to get used to talking , otherwise it's painless.
I had a deep underbite a year ago and now its treated but my dentist didnt use this wire on me. Instead I got a bite plate/plane that took 3-4 mos to align my bite. I wonder if this one hurt? Because the bite thing didn’t
@@blobba5442 a little yes but its very very subtle and I can only tell because I would look at pictures of me years ago compared to now but from other peoples perspective they probably dont notice anything
@@enpassant291 you get straight teeth. My boss who is 60 has Invisalign. Although I would recommend proper braces. But it’s your choice do your research on what you prefer. Bottom line is that you can straighten your teeth at any age.
