@@kerianlovedc2196 you can be. Just don't mouth breath and keep good tounge posture. Unless you are past your teen years. In that case , it womt work. You will need surgery.
Samee, already got braces before but my dentist was hesitant to remove 4 teeth, and she just straightened my teeth, so I'm still not satisfied with my side profile really. She now suggested interproximal reduction to give me the side profile i want without having to extract my teeth.

Hah? What do you mean? Tooth extraction is under doctor's assesment, so nothing bad will happen. If the orthodontic decides to remove those teeth, believe me those teeth wont be even useful
The first photo is exactly my problem..... yesterday I removed two teeths....and next week other 2 teeths...and then I'm going to put brace ...I was sad because of my teeth extraction...but now by seeing this video I am hopeful....😊😊... Thank you for the video 🙏☺️
This is exactly my condition.. I extracted 4 premolar and it's been two months with braces.. I was so worried if this problem will solve or no bt after watching this video I am happy ❤️
Oh honey, don’t worry! You can actually try find a dental health insurance that can cover 60% of the price for braces! Also if your family can provide proof that you can not afford this the government have some programs that pays for that! Just look for it! Don’t give up.
i understand. This thing makes us feel frustrated and tired. That even sucks energy. I'm so in need of braces. Parents are like "Ha! Why would we change our original teeth/ you're already good" I'm not going to lie. I'm so frustrated
I think that braces can move teeth and not jaws. Also consider that, if you have a long nose, just moving your teeth back could make your profile even worse, making your nose look longer. To move jaws back or forward you may need orthognatic surgery.
I look like the first picture and I like it, personally I wouldn't change it. Makes me look younger and with fuller lips. So if you are like that, don't assume it's wrong. If you still don't like it, you can always undergo the procedure. Whatever floats your boat, but always love yourself :)
Im a boy...When in my college days, some random girls from my college made jokes on my looks behind me...some of my friends too made jokes on my looks ..those incidents made me sad (untoldable)...I didnt have enough money to fix my issue due to economic situation..One day i will fix my problem
I hope you have fixed your problem mate, we all have problem, I have an overbite with a reversed smile arc crocked lower jaw and crocked upper jaw, I can't smile and talk right without feeling embarrassed of my self, Having a great smile is important for emotions and confidence of the human being.
psa to those who got recommended to get their premolars removed. The problem that entails with the absence of those premolars is that there will be a gap between the two teeth besides where the premolar had been removed. Meaning, you would have to wear your retainers alot so that it doesn't open up again. Might even take your whole life. If you can talk to your dentist about other options, ask for them.
@@abdurrahman-su4we no, i was suggested braces for 11 months and after retainers for 3 years. Sorry i didn't elaborate properly. Its been only 2 months since i got braces hope ur confusion get solved.😇🤗🤖
Please do tell everyone that doing this removes lip support and face support= faster aging. This is an asian and afro american trait and we all know how well they age compared to europeans who have flatter faces.
this is me right now, I have lip incompetence due to my structure. it give me breathing problems and other consequences because I have to forcefully close my lips, which is really hard to do. I’m conscious about my mouth 24/7 which sucks because closing your mouth is supposed to be an unconscious movement. not worrying about your mouth being open is a feeling I’ve never felt before, and makes me so insecure and helpless. i don’t even care that much about the way it looks, but more about the condition. I feel like crying at times because of how much of a hindrance it is. i went for a consultation back two months ago to an orthodontist, and they said that I would have to remove 4 of those teeth and my wisdom teeth as well to achieve the after that you see here in the video. I’m going to go to the consultation for the removal next month. my mom is very scared about me getting 8 teeth removed (can you even count wisdom teeth as that)? but hopefully, everything will work out. i might get my wisdom teeth removed, or I might get just four of the pre-molars removed. we’ll see, it’ll be explained to us once we go to the consultation. I just want my lips to close in a natural way. ☹️
I have the same problem, i also can’t close my lips at rest so I have to keep my mouth opened and it makes me look so bad. I always pay attention to how my face looks like whenever I’m outside and it’s so frustrating because I’m always worrying about how my mouth is not relaxed. And whenever I try to keep my mouth close, it only lasts for like 2 mins then i start to feel pain in my chin :( but I got 4 teeth extracted last month so hopefully that helps close my mouth fully
@@rima5225 So I had the consultation with my orthodontist a while ago and they said they would extract 4 pre-molars and all four of my wisdom teeth, so 8 in total. I have a small mouth, so that would give me much more room while trying to close up my open bite. They gave me a referral to this one place where I would have to get them extracted. So at that place, I had another consultation just recently. But the DR there also said that the braces might not give me the results I want due to my jaw, which is another thing that may be causing my lip incompetence, metalis strain and open bite itself. So I'm setting up an appointment to get the teeth I needed removed now, my braces on, and then they said we'll go from there to see if I'm in need of jaw surgery if the braces don't do as much as I wanted. Hope this helped you out a bit.
@@re-beka6161 Yes, thank you so much for the advice. I actually have talked about this with my orthodontist and DR who will be taking out my wisdom teeth. I have a small mouth so it would be better for it to be extracted now (plus I'm at that age where they can be, 3/4 of them have already grown and they are causing some pain when I eat so this will be a good thing). Sorry about your own experience though, it sucks that you went through all that effort for nothing. I hope this works out well for me, because the next option is jaw surgery and I really don't want that LOL.
Same. I’m convinced that I’ll need jaw surgery, which I can’t afford because braces aren’t doing too much of a difference alone. I don’t think I want to have the 4 teeth extracted.
I have to do that to convince my mom too 😭 she knows I’m already getting braces but she’s so paranoid and ignorant about me removing the 4 teeth (and 4 of my wisdom teeth as well, but I’m not completely sure about that)… I hope it gets through to her. I have a consultation about the removal next month so I gotta get through to her by then ✨
That animatiion missed a bit. Retracted lower jaw (ramus moves behind the ear) and flatter uppewr maxilla. You can't move back maxilla that much and not have mandibular retraction. You need a real person. Not an unrealistic representation.
Im sorry i don’t understand the terms you used can you please explain it to me? Cause i wanted to have braces and want to push back my jaws back like in the video
I had a protruding mouth and underbite. I got 4 teeth extracted bc I didn’t know I had a choice and was very insecure. My face has sunken in, but it does not look bad bc of my features before. I had chubby cheeks and a short nose. However, recently I think I’m having breathing problems when I sleep, so I have to get that checked out but it’s definitely nothing serious!!!! You’re face shape before getting this treatment really matters. If I had not had the features I had before I can see why people hate on it. If I was a male I definitely would NOT have gotten this. It makes your face more feminine. Oh and lastly, I have always had a oblong face shape so that hasn’t changed!
Omg, we sorta have the same facial features. Oblong face, chubby cheek and short nose. I’m so scared to get my 4 teeth extracted. How are you feeling now? Do you feel regret with the extraction? Or are you happy with it?
@@killerqueenx I've the same issue as well but not underbite. If your teeth is narrow V shape instead of U shape, maybe you have a choice to use expanders.
This is what my teeth will be like in 3 years. My first dentist failed me and he was so bad, so my first 2 years with him was shit. Now I'm getting my first tooth removed at March 27 lol, wish me luck ✨
@@SaileeShingare I was also pretty nervous when I actually got there, but it actually went great. I actually listened to music the whole way there because you'll actually hear your teeth getting pulled out, but you won't feel anything. Also, the injection of the anesthesia is the only thing that kinda stings, but biting your cheek or your tongue hurts more. The pressure didn't hurt as I thought it would so you'll be fine 👍
3years ago my face was same like this😭, but now after 2years of orthodontic treatment, I have started to love my face😊🥰 Edit:- (9 August 2023) In present days I have again started to hate my face , (feel underconfident, ugly & Old) because of my facial bone loss😢 after 4years of my orthodontic treatment 😔😔😖. I don’t know what to do
Damn my whole face is so good but this shit is ruining everything ..my confidence self esteem everything ...plzz tell me if i go for bracess ..will it get normal?
i remember watching this when my ortho told me that i'll need to get two premolars extracted for the bite to close (my case is the same as in the video). i was so scared that i kept postponing the extractions for 2 months. today it's been 4 months since both my extractions and the bite is almost aligned & is now starting to close. i feel SO confident with my smile already:) don't think too much, just go for it! you will thank yourself later.
i got this done. like 5 years worth of orthopedic treatment. long life to the dentists, orthodontist doctors and nurses. it’s a very slight difference but i really do appreciate the help. ngl it was super painful 😅
I have this same side view .I feel very insecure whenever someone click pic from the side and my upper teeth gum are bigger so whenever I smile it look odd
My first molars are gone because of cavities and I have a face structure like in the first picture. I have now my braces, will that help me achieve the second picture as well?
My side profile is like that first pic..I already had 4 premolars removed and im on braces now. This video gave me hope😂 edit: because there are so many people out there saying bad things about extracting teeth, how it will change your face and make it sunken etc.. but I already have a sort of protruding mouth so I'm kinda hoping it will get sunken a little bit lol.
@@CursedMudflap hey did you get it removed on first day of you getting braces or what? If I don’t want big lips should I tell my orthodontist to do this? I’m 3 months and half on braces right now with an kinda deep overbite (I have straight teeth’s) 😂 just side profile is not appealing
I take braces almost 7 month ago , dentist remove 4 teeths n its been around 2 month and now i can see the difference in x - ray of my mouth. This process is little expansive but worth it . This is actually me in this video 😂😂
That's me in the first pic before, I remember being hesitated to smile. So I decided to have braces , removed 4 teeth. Now I am happy with the changes and going to remove this braces next month. Waiting for Happy smile 😁
@@mahima_____1209 It depends on your teeth arrangements. Because of lockdown I have missed my 5-6 appointments , so I have braces from last 2 years . May be Iam going to remove my braces next month. I don't worry about time span but Iam happy about my new, not embarrassing smile😁
First one is me my bottom lip goes over my top teeth which is an overbite. I had to get 3 teeth pulled. I’m hoping the extractions were worth it I don’t want to hate my face after this and everyone is saying oh you shouldn’t have extracted teeth! But I had no choice :/ it was either do what I did or keep my smile the way it was which I was soooo insecure about. I’m hoping for the best at this point that is all I can do....
Looks great. However, you create less space for the tongue and actually induce obstructive sleep apnea. I’ve had to discuss this issue with numerous orthodontists
Please try and avoid this people. I had a protrusion with an open bite and I got four teeth pulled out. My protrusion is gone but now my face is narrow, my skin is sagging and not supported, my arch is narrow and pushed back too far, my face lost all of its shape and fullness, even my eyes are closer together and are not supported properly. My nose is also more hooked. Try and prevent protrusions from happening in the first place through proper breathing and tongue posture. I get that bimax protrusions can be genetic sometimes but unless the protrusion is causing major issues, just leave it. Nothing good form amputating health body parts.
It also makes your jaw bone and chin smaller. I used to have a better jawline and chin but now I have no chin at all and my jaw is narrow and not as defined as it used to be. There's just no common sense in pulling healthy teeth out. Before teeth extractions I had one problem which was my protrusive bite. Now after extractions I solved one problem but gained several others in its place. it's stupid. Also facial muscles will atrophy and get worse over many years. So even though I don't look terrible now it may get worse from the lack of support in my face.
marlene robleto Yeah. It’s been two years since I finished braces. I noticed that my face looked different since I got them off but I couldn’t figure out why until recently.
I’m gonna keep seeing how my face changes over the years because it hasn’t been too long since I’v gotten my braces off. Have you had braces? Or are you planning on getting them?
Ducttapecrafts99 I had them when I was younger but they never got rid of my protrusion so I wanted to go to a different doctor this time. I had two consults. Each said extractions was the only way. I don’t want to do that if my face is going to change in that way
What a coincidence; yesterday i fought with my mom saying that what's the need of removing teeth when u have braces and it's a *dental torture machine* but now i got this on my recommendeds. And now i completely understood why extraction is important thanks for posting
Yes that's me on the first picture. I am having braces but my doc refuse to remove my teeth (he said he has consideration about that) my sis had 4 removed (by the same doctor) and now she doesn't have overbite problem. Maybe because she has smaller teeth? I have stronger(?) and bigger teeth lol. Should I try to find another advice from another doctor? Should I listen to my doc? Been 5 years on braces no significant difference (well, my bad as well, do not go to dentist often, not too motivated going there since I don't have any teeth removerd 😆 but this year I try to be have appointment more regularly)
If this process causes any serious problems like gingival retraction, please tell me how can it be cured and also tell me what weather I shall get braces or not . Please reply
Whatever you do guys i have this pouted look too and they mention, extraction or an expander . I said extraction thats the whole point and it doesnt help i have huge lips. Then they switched to well do expander me not knowing it widened my freakn horse teeth more and is sticking more out! They only saw $$ signs and they said well get her straight teeth and thats it when my biggest insecurity is the pout . Ughhh ppl that have this problem need extractions . Im gonna argue to get extraction . If anything ill get a chin inplant fk that
Buckteeth made me not confident. Maybe, I should sacrifice my teeth to be like after condition. previously, I thought my teeth can't be repaired. thanks for this animation.
Are you happy with the final outcome? When did you start to notice a change in your side profile? How many months did you have to put the braces on ?sorry for the many questions but I am about to go through the same process and need to hear similar experiences thanks in advance ♥️
My doc suggested this as he said I would look good. I didn't care about look more good as I'm already pretty is what I replied.😀 Never going extract my not so perfect but beautiful teeths😊
