I used the aligners about 2 years ago and they worked fantastic :) still looks great maybe not for people with major dental issues but for me it saved me so much money :)
My daughter is currently in braces. I just took my son in to see when he would be needing them and our orthodontist actually said he wouldn’t be needing them at all. Consultations are free. Always get an experts opinion. Most orthodontist offer payment plans that make braces very affordable and some even offer discounts when you have more than one family member in braces (always worth checking). Your teeth are too important.. make sure you have someone watching over them every step of the way to make sure everything is going correctly and that you aren’t just being sold a product.
@@chizzlebizzle1150 in the USA we pay about $5,000 for braces (without insurance). I have insurance but it covers less than half. We were still responsible for about $3,000 of it. 😞
Pleeease insist that your daughter wears her retainer when the time comes. I didn't. I gotta pay for my own braces now, if I want to fix em again. I feel horrible for knowing how much my mom paid for my braces and then I just....kinda threw that gift away :/
@@KillaZilla99 I’m good now it doesn’t hurt no more, It’s just uncomfortable and I sometimes leave them for a few hours on the sink but other than that it’s been straightening my teeth more
Byte makes sure that your a candidate for the aligners before you start treatment & requires photos to make sure your teeth are shifting correctly, they also have certified orthodontists working there. My teeth are completely straight now after 3 months because of byte since I didn’t feel like having to deal with going to a local orthodontist & paying & waiting for appointments when I literally could do it all online & get the same results without the inconveniences of going in person
So true! I was thinking about smile direct club because of the price but kept researching and learned how harmful it could be. I now have Invisalign, 7 weeks in! 😄
honestly it was okay, there was a few snags; i had to redo the aligner impressions because on the 2nd week i noticed the aligner wasnt fitting properly so i did that again and it went well until about week 9 (I have 12 weeks) so I just waited about 3 days for my teeth to shift back and then I switched to the pervious ones which ended up working better to prevent this id recommend waiting an extra week or just going in person other than that it went great
honestly though i loved how its been turning out one of my fears was i was going to have major gum probs with how fast they moved but that didnt happen thankfully
Pick your battles, I’d rather get on a payment plan under medical advice/care than wing it off RU-vid vlogs and a manual. I typically do agree, we are taking out of their pocket, but this isn’t worth it the headache of ruining your teeth, without medical direction.
if we don't listen to orthodontists or dentists about dental care because we believe they're trying to sell us something who are we supposed to listen to? they're the only ones with the credentials to make claims about dental care in the first place
My at home slingers worked really well. I went to a real ortho before to take X-ray to see if teeth can be moved and then went to at home aligners and saved like 3k. That’s big
I feel like this is true if you have a lot of issues to fix, but if you just want some straighter teeth- aligners are so much more cost efficient than braces. My sis got them to fix her front teeth to be more straight & she looks great/ had absolutely no issues. Braces done at an orthodontist are absolutely astronomical. So if you have teeth that are in generally good condition & just need to fix a few crooked teeth then please save your money & get something like Smile Direct (highly recommend!).

I used the Byte aligners for my overbite and gaps. Everything turned out wonderfully and I’m so grateful it worked out. All I have to say is to do your research and weigh out the different possibilities. I’m perfectly happy with my results and am so happy I chose Byte.
Ditto, I’m using Byte after having braces about 15 yrs ago and having teeth shift (lack of using my retainer as a kid). And honestly I am really pleased, but I get that it’s not for everyone! Def do research before making a big decision like aligners

I had braces. Lost my aligner not long after, I was upset. They're so expensive. So I went a few years without them. Recently I just finished BYTE & I can honestly my teeth look great. I'm happy with the result. I'm happy healthy and have a great smile, so it wasn't a waste of money to me. ☺️
We had a great experience with Smile Direct. My husband always wished he had braces as a kid but as an adult braces are a little weird. Smile Direct got his teeth straight in less than a year. They are still straight 2 years later.
My wife and I were just about to do the same thing!! They are such a scam! The before and after pictures in the store weren’t even that good! Still had gaps
I'm glad I went with invisalign now when I was looking for clear braces. Found that one of my teeth was actually infected at the root. It was only discovered through an xray and it's a byproduct from my bike accident

If you have very minor misalignment, then at home aligners may suffice, but it's always best to consult an orthodontist to make sure your teeth don't require more than what they can actually handle.
No. I have smile direct. Its amazing and affordable. Thousands of people have seen results as well. Plus, I have check-ins with my regular dentist. He's just saying all this because money isnt going to his own practice😅

Yes, smile direct is an at home aligner. Anything where you don’t go and see a dentist or an orthodontist will be considered an “at home”, and will be high risk. Tbh, it’s like paying a professional tattoo artist vs stabbing yourself with a pen and some ink… talk to your dentist/ orthodontist about payment plans or options, look into getting insurance if you can, or wait and save up. You only get one set of teeth 🤷🏻♀️
Yea. I did smile direct club regret it so much. My teeth didn't move they still aren't fixed. Couldn't get a refund since I used to aligners. Still paying $80 a month for no reason.
Did you wear them all day and only took them out to eat and brush your teeth? Unless you follow these to the T you won’t see results because you’re not using them correctly. I loved mine and have absolutely no regrets
