The 5-min craft ones can be disgusting because the backs of your earrings get so nasty from your ears. If youre doing that for a halloween costume or something like that, make sure you clean the backs really good and with peroxide because of the dead skin, possible blood, and other stuff that can be on the backs.

DO NOT keep in rubber bands on your teeth! The rubber band can tear through your gums and cause damage to the bones. And even then after you take it off, ur teeth will realign because you don't have a retainer. In all, using a rubber band to fix one small gap can cause even worse dental issues.
