Not to mention all these vigorous movements by the surgeons. I mean, isn’t anyone wondering if the recovery would be less painful if there would not be all this “golf-hammering” knee replacement recovery was the hardest and most challenging thing I ever experienced.

As someone who works in the or I will tell you, almost every or surgery is like that g. If you could see the tools it’s no different than what you’d find at construction site it’s insane. Seeing the tools gives you an inserts of the barbarically brute force all that OR shit is

Oh they definitely did. I clean and sterilize surgical trays that contain all the instruments they use for surgery and hip trays have some pretty gnarly looking stuff. Maybe not the hammering so much but it's definitely brutal stuff. Hohmann retractors the size of crowbars and the ball and socket reamers 🤢.

THEN THEY GET YOU UP AND SEND YOU HOME, USE TO BE AT LEAST THREE DAYS STAYING IN HOSPITAL, RETIRED PHYSICAL THERAPIST, AND START THERAPY THAT DAY OR NEXT DAY, HAVE TO START BENDING AND MOVING, SO AFRAID!!😢

@@progressoseghale6633for knee surgery they give you a mild sedative and an epidural. The sedative can wear off if the surgery goes longer than planned. My meniscus repair took maybe 20-30 minutes.

Most likely patient has a tibial shaft fracture, which is fixated by tibial intramedullary nail, sometimes surgeon may unintentionally use inappropriate nail size, in such situation, the nail is really lodged in there and the inly way to remove is by interrupted brute forces (a.k.a hammering)

The instruments we use are made of super strong heavy duty metals, and are designed to sustain these forces. And yes, the patient is totally fine, bone already broken and the broken part is absorbing the hit without issues

I hyperextended my knee super bad and broke some bones it...the tip of the bone was poking through the skin but not all the way out....the dr said i could have the surfery recorded and have a copy of it...i almost did it but im glad i didnt 😂 to see them treat me like a mannequin would've made me feel some type of way haha on a side note.....the best feeling in the world is the 5 to 8 seconds before the anesthesia knocks you out....if they could turn that into a drug that lasted a couple hours, id be a junkie 😂

@@riyasingh2729 I had sinus surgery due to chronic infections and the pain was unbearable...No pain meds helped and I couldn't sleep for days...🙏 However..it helped for a few years...I wouldn't repeat the process though...
