Knowing when it's a waste of time to continue fishing for a trout is as important as knowing where to cast. Dave and Amelia Jensen are back to demonstrate when they think it's time to move on. By reading a trout's body language, you can gauge if the fish will take your nymph or dry fly readily, or if it has been alerted by your presence.

Tie a small size 16 PT nymph under the Dry about 12/15 inches below it works nearly every time. A lot of people think just because the trout breaks the surface they are taking Dries often they are taking just below the surface and breaking the surface with their backs. It seems to me fish moving side to side or back and fourth a bit are usually feeding.. A top water feeder makes it evident it is feeding. Good stuff! Thanks

I have noticed that most people in your videos wear brightly coloured shirts, contrary to most fishing and hunting practices. Lovely video lessons

I literally just had this happen to me today.... kept casting to it and it was just staying there not moving an inch. I wasted 30 min on it and no bites.
