I'm a regular who loves Aquariums but Osaka's has gotta be the biggest and most beautiful aquarium I've ever seen and I haven't been to it yet. Osaka looks incredible!
Remarkable use of space, multiple angles and viewing levels winding downwards and around many of the gorgeous habitats! That central display is breathtaking, the many viewing levels are used so well because they have a mix of species that prefer different parts of the watercolumn. Clean, creative and calming with true attention to detail. Thank you for sharing!
Alan, thanks for sharing your visit to this beautiful Kaiyukan Aquarium in Osaka. Always lovely to watch the fishes swimming gracefully at close range. Enjoy your stay in Osaka 😀👍
What an incredible virtual tour of Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan! The 4K HDR quality makes it feel like we're actually there. Such a mesmerizing experience exploring the wonders of the ocean!🐠🌊
that large shark fish thing swimming round and round reminds me of an old age dementia ward with the inmates walking round and round looking for an escape
when you consider the size and number of the dolphins vs the amount of water and space in the area, the dolphins don't even seem to be as crowded in as most of the other animals in the exhibits. This isn't praise to the dolphin exhibit, this is criticism of most if not all of the exhibits throughout. A lot of the fish in the smaller areas seem to barely be moving around, and the tanks seem far too small for how many fish are in each.
Last March I went to Osaka. And accidentally got lost in Osakako (I intended to go to Osaka castle). Too bad I didn’t know there was an incredible Aquarium there. If I knew it I would go there 😢 Daijobou, this October I’ll visit Osaka again 🎉
Arigato Alan! Glad to know you arrived safely in Osaka Japan and many thanks for your latest upload, the Kaiyukan Aquarium tour near Osaka Bay. Great that your slow and patient walk during the tour provided us the opportunity to watch and see the aquatic animals of the Pacific Rim! Thanks very much for that and I enjoyed the tour very well, Take care and be safe in Osaka Alan-san! !🇸🇬⛩👍
@@DiscoveryWalkingToursTV Indeed it was Alan. Hope it was the same for you too! Hope you and your wife have a safe time in Osaka and looking forward to more of your adventures .and walks.❤👍
I went there as a kid but looking at this now I think they really should get rid of at least half the mammals and birds. They don't need to show sea lions or coati. The otters definitely need more space and they should also be able to go to a quiet area. Those poor animals have to listen to that huge waterfall non-stop. It would be much nicer if they took all the exhibits from the beginning and gave the entire space to otters. Even then, I'm sure otters in European zoos have more space than that. Maybe they could add some smaller birds so they have 2 animals in one, large, joint exhibit. It only got worse once the Capybara came up. In Europe these animals are kept in big exhibits, where they can graze. Even if the exhibits for Capybara and Penguins were combined it would be too small for anything but a snake or some small birds. The size of the dolphins pool is pure cruelty. Absolutely insane how these animals are still kept there. Hopefully, no new ones will be brought or bred there. The big pool with the (Sting?)Rays is phenomenal. Seeing the large sharks there is amazing but doesn't feel right at the same time. Could definitely do with less animals in there too.
Those poor animals no need to get caged and everyone looking into them😢 just imagine people doing same thing to you. Best thing for them is the be w real life. And I hope people start to make ai zoos instead of real ones
It reminds me of Moody Gardens' Aquarium Pyramid in Galveston where they have surface on the upper floor and underwater on the lower floor, just like this.
These dolphins are from Taiji, Japan. Thousands are slaughtered each year by the local townsfolk. Some of these dolphin meat, which are high in mercury are sold in vending machines.
This is so lovely. I really enjoyed the classical music pieces playing. Is that playing in the aquarium? Thank you for this peaceful walk. I will make a point of visiting this aquarium.
If you are reading this, it doesn't matter where you are right now on this planet, I wish you a wonderful night and a happy, peaceful life where all your dreams come true
Thank you so much for your latest video upload Alan! Is this your first time in Osaka? Are u there with your family too? I'm glad you are had a safe flight to Osaka bossman! I really like your tour of Osaka Kaiyukan Aquarium. By the way, what is this odd looking fish? 21:21 hehe. Thanks again Alan!👍😃🙏
I was excited to see the capybara, but then I became concerned. Isn’t that area too small for them and also not their natural habitat? They’re usually around grass and dirt. Also there’s usually other capybara as well. This one looks lonely. Does anyone know if the habitat it’s currently in is just a 2nd habitat the capy can choose to be in?
To whoever is reading this : I am proud of you! If everyone knew what you are going thru right now, they wouldn’t believe how you’re still standing. But here you are : strong, amazing and doing your absolute best ,surviving anything that comes in your way and I couldn’t ask for more. If you haven’t heard this for anyone : keep fighting ,I am so proud of you ! I know how much strength it takes to keep pushing through but believe me when I tell you that all those sleepless nights will soon be paid off 😊 you’re almost there don’t give up!
Now you can replace most of them with just LED screen and no one can tell the different waaaay cheaper to build and maintain and with interactive led touch screen you can educate people more. I mean you can build the same facility like this all over the world and replace most of display with transparent led screen broadcated from the real aquarium in osaka
Aquariums are so heartbreaking & sad. This one is too small for the animals. They look miserable. Think about how many km these animals naturally cover each year and now they’re cramped. It’s also awful for the rays especially, being housed with sharks, their natural predators. Must be very stressful. I don’t understand why all aquariums do that. A poor rat was cornered and repeatedly had bites taken out of it at an aquarium. It had nowhere to escape and was stuck swimming around in agony with chunks taken out of it.
I was really shocked how small the space for the animals is, even for the little fish. I mean i know its small...its a zoo...but THAT small!!! Most Animals move several miles everday, its in their dna. I hope for them they dont regnonice it, that they are in jail 53:55 so sad😢
