@@cousinjake7986 😆 don't be sad. This is the second of my Ambient Time albums. I.e. It was a sequel; it was MORE ambient time. I saw the potential for a BMO related pun... Mo' Ambient Time (like mo' money mo' problems 😂). 👍🏼
I've been going through alot lately confronting everything in my life instead of running away from my feelings and thinking. I just finished watching adventure Time the show of my childhood I can't stop crying. Seeing Finn grow and deal with alot of things I'm going through rn really comforted me. I realize that alot of show keeps sending this message of letting go of things and not letting it run your life. I have alot of letting go to do. spent the rest of my soft boi and junior year in quarantine and it sucked but I've learned alot about myself since then. Just turned 17 and I can't believe all this time has past and I'm not eating Cheerios while watching SpongeBob in my grandmas house anymore. "Time is a illusion that makes things make sense"
"It can seem unforgiving when a good thing ends..." 😥 If there's one thing that Adventure Time teaches us, it's not to be sad that it's ended, be happy that it happened. "You and I will always be back then" 🙌🏼🙏🏼
when I was 11 my dad passed away and I think since then it’s been the hardest time of my life. I’m almost 15 now and listening to this video brings me back so many good memories I had with my dad. he introduced me to adventure time when I was little and it would be our thing that we would watch together. now that he’s gone, whenever I watch the series or listen to the music I get a bit emotional. this video brought me a lot of comfort and nostalgia from the days I had with him when we would sit down together and watch a couple episodes of adventure time. thank you for this :)
Thank you for sharing this. I'm sorry for your loss and hope that this music and my other Ambient Time albums can continue to be a positive and comforting thing for you. Stay strong & keep adventuring 🤜🤛🏼
Hey man, I lost my mom when I was 11, im 21 now. I think of her everyday, just know- you'll never truly get over it, but you will heal and become a great person your dad would be proud of!
thank you for sharing this, I hope all is well for you. I have over the past year or so come to the realization that yes, the pain never goes away but it definitely gets easier to deal with. things have gotten a lot better since then and honestly just surrounding myself with good people and hobbies make dealing with everything so much better :)
You captured the sublime nature of Adventure Time extremely well. Only someone who really put a lot of thought and devotion to it can create something so close in spirit to adventure time. It feels like an official OST release. Superb work!
I truly believed there was nothing else in the universe that could make me feel the way the first Ambient Time did, and here you are, proving me wrong. I know it's hard to convey just how much of an impact something has had on one's life over the internet/through text, but, these 2 mixes have brought me so much peace in such a chaotic life. Thank you, OSC.
That's very touching of you to say such positive things about my music. I'm glad I'm able to bring some positivity into your life, and I'm sorry to hear that things have been difficult for you of late. Fingers crossed the third Ambient Time album will continue to follow this trend and live up to the first two, bringing continued positivity to your daily biz 😉😊
@@Bruhtatochip742 Yeah's it's tricky to pin down. AT's music is like bonkers electro crossed with ambient and other things. My stuff here is like ambient music, but crossed with thematic vibes linked to the aforementioned bonkersness... Haha! Not sure exactly what you'd call it, but I guess if you wanted to find similar things, you could look for acoustic ambient music or something... A lot of ambient music is very synthesiser heavy, whereas a lot my ambient music isn't so synth heavy and heavily reliant on acoustic-like textures (but there are synths too).
I love the card wars theme in the first track! Literally had to pause and sit there remembering where i had heard it before haha. Thanks for this wonderful tribute to AT!
That source track is used in a few episodes. I think its first outing was the episode when BMO and the bubble walk through the woods. The original tune is called a Bubble and Blip (I think...). It's a lovely melody, and I knew I had to incorporate it into an ambient piece. Glad you like it.
You can't be too sad when everyday nothings are bliss. Bird chirps hold beauty because they connect you with your origins and our creator, simplicity and acceptance. Even tragic losses present a new, difficult path of growth. God loves you, and He's waiting. Fighting that doesn't work.
@@Kaleki935 I understand that it's hard to realize if you're religious yourself, but not everyone profits anything from someone saying that they shouldn't be sad because some god loves them, or a similar argument based on a religious standpoint. I don't have anything against the idea that a god loves me, but for some people that is simply not important and therefore a different approach would be more effective.
One way of thinking that helped me is appreciating little things in your day. If you wake up, maybe, try to go outside and spend 1-2 minutes just closing your eyes and deep breathing, appreciating the warmth of sunshine, the birds' chirps, and the little breeze of wind then and there. Then life will become much lighter in a world of chaos. I have never met you, but I know for sure that you are special, a main character that portrays a meaningful life and I would like to watch that movie to the fullest. Be strong and much love
@Aarni Lassila Please let me explain. (I'm not actually capable of blind faith, personally) If the globe lived in accordance to the virtues (opposite of the 7 sins), the world would be as close to perfect as possible. And the opposite is also true of the sins for a hellish life. Look to the people who embody each of those things, across history and across the world. Those who embody the sins are sick mentally and physically, they prey on fellow man, they reject their bodies and reality in pursuit of ideals which are ultimately selfish and don't function. Those who push past their temptations and struggle through living a virtuous life, are ALL the people we want to emulate or otherwise admire. It leads to what my initial comment opened with, everyday trials become nothing. The challenges of a normal person are borderline joyous to the stoic, and the everyday 'nothings' truly are heavenly. Personally, I've had a lot of trouble with death anxiety since I was about 4 years old. I was spelling dinosaur names at 3 so I was a little strange, but once I started pondering my existence, I learned a paralyzing fear that hit me several times every day for two decades. There's no answer for what happens after we go. At least not until you realize how faulty our senses are, which I found out through psychedelics. We know so little but think we know so much because our bodies and minds were fine-tuned strictly to experience the Earth. We can learn everything there is to physics and material manipulation, but we CAN NOT know what happens after this place. These struggles are why I try with every ounce of my power to find answers, I only get this one shot so I can't afford to waste a single day. I may not be able to make a neura-link competitor, but I'm trying my damn best to learn. It's personal for me, so I have absolutely zero stake in "selling" my religion to you. I just realize it's the best way to live a human life, and it shortcuts to the answers a lot of the psychology and philosophy psychedelics will teach. Even Buddhists who believe in reincarnation will 100% agree with the virtues and that abiding by them will lead to the best life possible, both this one and the next. At some point it's up to us to connect these religious ties, I promise you I'm not just lazily reciting what most will say about the religion in order to validate it through a bigger audience.
Because I Love You, Football feels like BMO is singing to me personally I love it. It's so sweet and bouncy and some of the chord progressions I could feel in my soul. Thank you OSC this is such a unique idea you brought it to life so well
Thank you for your kind words. I love BMO! I think his whole vibe is just so on-point and I really relate to his inner childish side. I tried to capture his light hearted and slightly robotic quirkiness in some of the music on this album. I'm glad you were able to pick up on that 😊.
You're most welcome. I've got 5 album's of Ambient Time albums, so cue up the playlist, put the kettle on, grab a good book and hunker down for the evening. I've got you covered ☺
Haha! Well, thanks to the algorithms, I guess 🤷🏻♂️😆. Very pleased you enjoyed my music. Hopefully you'll continue to enjoy more things that I release in the future 😊
Thank you. Glad you like it. I know what you mean. I sometimes get that same feeling from music too. Hard to know exactly what it is, but I think it's an OK feeling to have 👍🏼.
i genuinely cannot tell you how much I enjoy 'By The Light Of the Waxing Moon', there is something about the chord progression from the major chord to a minor (10:55). It's so GOOD. I cannot explain why I like it so much. I wished that adventure time could use this in one of their actual episodes! YOU'RE SO TALENTED MANNN! addictive, the song is addictive. love and guidance my good friend.
Another pretty good album, less for me to grab onto here but still strong. I think the noir and Football ones were my favorite. Another good showing, excited to see the next.
Thanks. This is a few years old now. It was my second Ambient Time album. There are a further four subsequent albums, so feel free to dip into them, when you have a chance :)
@@opusscience Don't you worry man, I'm working my way through all of em. Listening to each album as background music over the course of several days until I've had my fill then moving onto the next. I'm currently enjoying the Jubies one a lot! Review pending.
yes!!!!!! there’s more!! THERE’S MORE!!!! the first installment of ambient time was my walk-in-the-woods soundtrack when i was feeling down in quarantine, you have no idea how daydreamy and uplifting it was for me :) thanks for crankin this out!
You're most welcome. Glad you enjoyed Ambient Time and found it of some help during quarantine. You know, alongside Ambient Time and MO Ambient Time, there's a third one 😊... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dro58n16pC8.html And expect a fourth in the not too distant future 😉
I've recently started taking 25 min chunks of time for myself to just relax, think positive things and reflect on drawings and paintings i want to make, and this has become my go to soundtrack to do it to as i sip my evening tea and just ~vibe~
Oh my, you're a wonderful individual. Your work, your comment sections, your words/responses, what a lovely place to find myself as I lay in bed with AT on as my bedtime ambience. Stumbled across your channel by seeing that neat title card, stayed to immerse myself in the setting you've created here. Cheers to you and your endeavors, I'll be happily cheering you on from here on out!
Thank you for your kind words, Moses. I hope you enjoy your stay on my channel 😊 (I've got some more AT ambient stuff coming very soon too, so keep an eye out for that 😉 )
This music brings me to a better, simpler time. I wish those time came back. They will, I believe that they will. Until they come, I will listen to this.
Damn, this is making me emotional. I've always loved Adventure Time, but I finished rewatching it relatively recently & it just hits so much harder being a bit older & understanding a bit more. A beautiful show from which I've always loved the music & I think you really managed to capture the wonderful, silly adventure part of Adventure Time. Keep at it, I can't wait to hear what you make in the future :)
Thank you for your kind words. I'm pleased my music resonates with the part of you that loves Adventure Time ☺. This particular album is number two of five Ambient Time albums I've made. You can check them all out in this playlist. Hopefully the others also resonate with you a similar way. ru-vid.com/group/PLpfsLKFSNqZJSd9F7qGR27-92LNdTjZ88
Don't worry. I have no intention of taking it down. If it comes down, it'll be because Cartoon Network throw a strop about this "fan-art" and strike it. But it's also on BandCamp and most major streaming services, so even if it disappears from RU-vid, it'll be somewhere 😉👍
That's awesome! It's very rewarding, reassuring and encouraging to know that people give my work more than one listen and that they enjoy it as part of a regular routine. That's good food for the creative soul. Thank you ☺
Thank you for blessing us once again. I commented on the first one about just how much I love this show and how important it is to so many of us. Just, thank you.
You're very welcome. I've actually got some more in the pipeline and will be dropping a teaser trailer on Monday for a third instalment of Ambient Time 😊
@@opusscience so excited to hear that, you’re very talented and should continue the series. Adventure Time is my favorite show of all time so having Adventure Time ambiance to listen and study to is amazing, I appreciate the content!
I rlly miss adventure time so this music is really nice to have in the background for study. Idk but something abt it makes me work better and harder. Any how thanks so much for PT. 2 of an already perfect gem on yt. :)
Absolutely gorgeous, the ambient sounds and pinpoint and crisp. This is like a nice mix between Haroumi Hosono and Hiroshi Yoshimura. I'm going to give this a go tonight and see if it can make me sleep.
bro i think that uve just saved my study's i was searching of this kind of music for soo long thank u soo much, by the of the waxing moon is just too much cool i want to cry it's make me feel alive
Thank you. Glad to hear you liked it ☺. As for more "Ambient Time" albums, if this is the first you've heard, you might be in for a bit of a surprise (I've made five in total😄). Here's a playlist with them all compiled together: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kKLzVv4hb8w.html&ab_channel=OSC
😆 yeah, that one's got some odd timing, which I imagine won't be to everyone's tastes. I hope you listened past that track though. I think the last two tracks are possibly more cohesive feeling. 👍
Adventure Time me ensinou a reavaliar minhas prioridades e como trato meus entes queridos. Fique forte 👍🏼 (Eu usei o Google Tradutor. Espero que tenha feito sentido...?)
Glad you're pleased there's a second one. There's actually also a third one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dro58n16pC8.html I've got more planned too, so keep your eyes out for another around late September or early October.
Amazing as always! Thank you for these pieces. At the end of MO Co. I managed to hear a passage from “Finn, why are you fighting with your friend”. I suppose there are more of such little gems waiting to be discovered! :D
Also heard a “what am I to you” song in The real treasure is friendship!!! It sounds so different. Story wise it’s a little bit sad, cause BMO is in the scene but Finn does not acknowledge our precious gameboy in his song.
@@capbl4_ Thanks for the kind words. You got it! Little references to various things from the show littered throughout the album. "It makes me so happy!" is actually the line of dialogue BMO says when he's dancing to that song in the episode with the Bikini Babes. Also, a little more on-the-nose, but did you spot the musical reference in "By The Light of The Waxing Moon"? 😉
@@jhakardballoch2986 Logic Pro, mostly stock plug-ins, a few Waves and iZotope towards the end of the chain, as well as a couple of other 3rd party thing along the way. Nothing overly fancy or particular. I've done some mix breakdowns on some of my more popular synthwave tunes. They're on my channel. They might give you some insight on my process. Honestly though, I'm generally quite light-touch and don't get bogged down in long plug-in chains.
Thought this was cool, but halfway through listening to MO co. while looking at another tab I thought to myself that this had to be the song for the MO factory and when I switched back I was right!
There's something of that nature in the works, planned for a late summer release. It's not Adventure Time related, but that's possibly something I could look into in the future. "Adventure Time to Relax/Study to"
@@golemski5629 I can imagine it's probably already been done (and probably done well). But I'll have a look into it. If I think there's something I can bring to the table in this regard, I'll try and make it happen.
If you could get a 1 hour loop video of “By the light of the waxing moon” I’d really really appreciate because I would love to use it in my D&D sessions and the bot I use in discord only takes RU-vid links 😅
Well, as of today, I've finished uploading hour long loops of tunes from the first Ambient Time Album, so maybe as of tomorrow, I'll be uploading hour longs loops from the second Ambient Time album 😉.
I'm obsessed with these adventure time inspired albums, I was wondering if I may use them for backing tracks in my future videos? I can give creds of course if allowed.
I hath returned. (And I apologise in advance for the longness of this comment) Forests and Bubbles and Blips and Stuff: Well ain't this a nice opening? Only a minute in and it already nails BMO's personality perfectly. Blissfulnes and child-like wonder. (I want to sit in that daisy field now....) MO Co: Sounds full of awe and wonder. As if we've discovered a place lost from a forgotten period of time, untouched by outsiders untill now. Also reminds me of the Axiom from WALL-E. By The Light of The Waxing Moon: Kinda romantic actually. Makes me want to cosy up with a loved one and watch the not-quite-complete moon under a sky of stars near a clear lake. Because I Love You, Football: Beginning sounded a little ominous before moving to playful music and blips similar to the first track. However if you listen carefully you can still hear fragments of the music at the start. I might be reading too much into it, but it makes me think of moments in life that get too stressful or to much, one might simply imagine things better or escape to fantasy worlds in their imagination to block it out. Sort of a "blissfully unaware" feeling. Main Brain Game Frame: Nintendo called, they want their composer back. Like a mix of arcade and old Gameboy sounds. Wonderfully nostalgic. (And I didn't even grow up with either of those) Noire: This is legit some good jazz. Jazz Radio worthy. (Off topic, but I was also reminded of the episode "Rarity Investigates" from MLP, another noire-ish inspired cartoon episode) The Real Treasure is Friendship: Wait.....this is really emotional, I'm kinda tearing up (not the first time while listening to these albums haha) Sounds like reuniting with an old friend or loved one after a long time with a lifetime of memories. -Hits different after a certain Distant Lands episode- It Makes Me so Happy!: Feels like the perfect follow-up to the previous track. You've reunited with your friend or loved one and are now just laying outside in the grass, talking, catching up and reflecting on good times. Incredible job done here. 👍🏻 Once again sounds so good and so perfectly in theme to the show it ought to be official. It really shows how rich and full of personality the characters are if one can make a *whole album* inspired by a single character. My study music playlist once again thanks you.📚
Wow! Thank you. You REALLY get it! You've picked up on so many of my subtle details and intentions, as well as the over arching dynamic ebbs and flows of the project. It's hard to talk about without coming across pretentious, but I poured so much care and attention into the small details. There are so many little Easter-eggs and references to small themes and things from the show and subtly nested emotional misdirects too, like the Football piece. The ominous drone does continue throughout. Partly for the reason you mention, but also partly because I don't fully trust Football. Her motivations aren't always pure of heart and can be interpreted as sinister or selfish. But in the bigger picture, Football is a pretend friend. BMO's escape from the sometimes unpleasant reality, so yeah, you get it! Amazing and thank you. Whilst these projects are intended to be enjoyed passively, it's heartwarming to know some are picking up the finer details. 😊🙏🏼
@@opusscience Not at all, the amount of attention to detail you've crafted in each piece is phenomenal. Considering I legit thought the first was a CN official album, that alone speaks volumes on how perfectly you've nailed the atmosphere of the show. (You've nailed so many tracks that if I was to go in full detail on each one, this comment would probably be as long as the album run time....) I realized I forget to mention my favourites! MO co, The Real Treasure is Friendship and It Makes Me So Happy! (The second and last two again? Well ain't that something....)
Thanks for the kind words. Provided you're not just re-uploading the music as it is, and using as sound-bed or whatever beneath narration, then yeah, sure, use with accreditation is all good. Be sure to link me up with your videos when they're live. It's always interesting to hear my work re-contextualised.
Haha! Thank you. You know, there's also a third: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dro58n16pC8.html And if you subscribe, you'll get notified about a fourth and possibly even a fifth that's in the pipeline 😉
Thanks. Yeah, I've brainstormed a few possible avenues to take. I might try and do some more ambient stuff inspired by other good, modern cartoons in 2023.
