With Oscar's 100th anniversary coming in 2028, I hope that those Academy Award celebrations will include another Oscar Family Album with any of the acting winners still with us invited to attend for a similar grouping as this. Let us hope!
Thanks for posting this. Seeing all the Great and Good of Hollywood of the 50's and 60's like Charlton Heston and Ernest Borgnine and Celeste Holm who are no longer with us only 23 years ago. As i am from England its great to see Michael Caine and Sean Connery. If the Oscars do this sort of thing in the future it will be a lot different. Even 23 years ago it looks glamorous to me as Hollywood in the 50's and 60's was not liker now where Hollywood is a fickle society
Cher was about to fly to Europe and film Tea with Mussolini and record Believe she was much more cocky during her next Oscar appearance. Lol. Adore her. Faye Dunaway looking sweet and friendly and easy to work with. A great actress. Lol.
Just replying now to your comment. I agree, Jennifer was an underrated actress compared to others. I really enjoyed her in A Farewell To Arms, The Towering Inferno & Indiscretion Of An American Wife. A lot of others too. Cheers.
Michael Caine, George chakiris, geena Davis, Kathy bates, Michael Douglas, Louis Fletcher, Brenda fricker, Cuba gooding jr. , Louis gausat jr., Joel grey, Dustin Hoffman, Celeste Holm, anjelica Houston, are also there in 2003 album
Que grandiosidad de elenco con tantas celebridades. WOW HERMOSO DE VERDAD. VERLOS ASHI CERCA Y SENTIRLOS, YA ALGUNOS DE ELLOS EN ESTE ESPACIO DE TIEMPO, HAN DESAPARECIDO DE LA FAZ DE LA TIERRA, PARA SIEMPRE, PERO NTROS CORAZONES LOS GUARDAN Y RECUERDAN CON TANTA BELLEZA QUE ASI ES. DIOS LOS BENDIGA DONDE SE ENCUENTREN.QUE GRAN HOMENAJE, JUNTARLOS Y DESTACARLOS. GRANDIOSO EVENTO. COMO UNICO QUE FUE.
it must have been some rush for these actors and actresses present that night to be part of this elite group of hollywood legend... lt dose'nt matter how old you are in hollywood...it's never too late to win an oscar...
Actually, this was from the 1998 ceremony (honoring the films of 1997). I remember 'cause I watched it. It was my senior year of high school and TITANIC won big.
There's Susan Saranwrap. Seriously, she looked lovely and so talented. Thank you so very much for sharing this tmb110 which was a bit of work for you, but it made all of us so happy. I never remember seeing a recent Oscar Family Album during the 2000's. Someone, please advise me. Thank you. Iris from Manassas, VA.
Anne Bancroft, Ernest Borgnine, Red Buttons, Celeste Holm, Jennifer Jones, Karl Malden, Walter Matthau, Mercedes McCambridge, Harold Russell, Vincent Winters, and Shelley Winters, George Kennedy too, Rest in Peace. You have been joined by Martin Landau.
First of all, what a woman, Susan was and still killing it! 2nd, oh my god, i will probably have a faint if saw all this people in the same room with me.
Sean Connery and Julie Christie should have found a film to co-star in. She still looks marvelous. Incidentally, based upon the recent HBO movie regarding Hitchcock's apparent sexual harassment of Tippi Hedren during the making of "Marnie" in which Connery co-starred, did he acknowledge the director's mistreatment of the actress and did he attempt to intervene?

She is saying that because behind her, behind the curtain all the stars are getting in position and lining up and sitting down. They are making a lot of noise. If you listen to this with earphones or with the volume turned up, you can hear all the noise behind her. She's just laughing and hoping they are all in position by the time she's done with her intro.
Why are Holly Hunter and Angelica Huston not applauding Patricia Neal? I always thought Huston was a classy lady. She even clapped for unfaithful former boyfriend Jack Nicholson. And what's up with Estelle Parsons sitting on her hands?
lt must have been some rush for these legendary group of actors and actresses to be part of hollywood history...Some here have sadly passed now...But what a feeling as an actress or actor to win...And it dos'ent matter how old you are in hollywood...lt's never too late to win an oscar
@luisuzzktgui - It is in the right column. If you do not see it, I can send you the link. The links do not always work when you post them in the comments section.
I hope they do the same on Oscar's 100th year in 2028. It wouldn't be so hard to gather all the winners considering that sadly many of them died and some of them as we know now are creeps/rapists/abusers so no need to include them in it.
I love Julie Christie, but I do not like the short bob on her. I did not recognize her. She was always a great beauty; she could have worn her hair longer.
