The last couple of years I have been very disappointed in the Oscar Meyer weiners; I don't recall if they were the uncured or cured ones, although I thought curing preserved the contents which brings up the question: if they are not cured how are they preserved, aside from refrigeration? A leading consumer evaluation organizations has consistently rated Nathan's and Hebrew National as the best "dogs". After my recent experience with Oscar Meyer wieners (including beans and "weenies" that I had to throw away because they tasted so awful), I am sticking with the former. Mark Twain said that there are two things we should never see made: sausage and laws. He also said that the U.S. Congress was a "uniquely American CRIMINAL institution"; he was a very observant man.
Thanks for this review. I used to LOVE hot dogs as a kid. But I stopped eating them for a while, then I tried to eat them again as an adult and got nauseous. I'll give these a try.
