I feel so sad for -refugees- people (especially the children) who have to flee their homes due to wars or whatever reason. It doesn't make sense to me why the countries they flee to, spend millions on setting up camps and feeding them etc or even deporting them back to what they are trying to escape from. Couldn't all that money be used to help fix the problems in their home countries, so they don't have to flee in the first place. I just wish we could show everyone in these situations a bit more compassion.

I’m sure it’s more than just money that’s causing problems in their countries. Money can’t fix everything.

@@RamenKing2023 The corruption in the countries from which many of these refugees come to Europe is *very* bad. One would expect their national governments to alleviate the problems that make people go somewhere else in search of better economic conditions, but unfortunately nothing is done and the problems continue. It's as the rulers of said countries say to themselves, "We can always send the trash somewhere else!"
