Like most Irish we like to work hard and play hard . I think he’s been sober for years though. He used to drink in one my locals , myos. He’s a nice man and a brilliant actor

Well, wenn people are "normal", they develop with age (for all when they love their kids, when they are Narcissists, they do not. trust me, my mother is one. Even with 12 years I was more mature than her. Now with 42 it is a "no go" anymore. She did not change a bit in those 30 years!! They all stay at a level of a primary school child. I am working with a coach now, due to her abuse and well, unfortunately she is like this and will never change. And well, Colin is like many young men, why not? That is called leaving the life, but most people die inside by the age of 25, which I call "walking dead". I am not drinking anymore, as I once did from 16 - 20 (in Austria Wein and Beer is legal by the age of 16, at least back then it was). The only time I endet up in court was, as a former Boss thought, he does not have to pay me. So in his eyes, I should have to work for free. Would you say then "whatever" and move on, or would you want to have the money for your work. Only because people are wilder in their youth, it does not mean, that they might never change. Enjoy the day.

I can tell you second-hand, from people who went drinking with him in Toronto, that he was always a good person under all the hoopla. In vino veritas.

The fact that this young guy participated in the Oscars, with his dad who is for me one of the best actors in 21 century is enough to be proud of him.

Colin Farrell should have won best actor instead of Brendan Fraser. Farrell won almost all of the pre Oscar film critics awards and Fraser won very few in comparison.
