Watched a bunch of your videos over the years. I’m kind of in awe of you. The climbing, strength, nerve, intelligence of the cuts and rigging… all while self-filming! You’re pretty cool. Stay safe!

Greetings, Human. Checking in to say I've enjoyed watching your videos this year and seeing how far you've come. New videos are always great, and I understand the constraints of your company's policy as well... but what's most important is that you are putting yourself first. I hope you are doing well and continuing to "have a good one" one day at a time. Cheers!!

Corey ive been watching you since your early days on here, you got the skills to be your own owner/operator. Id love to see you start your own business and record whatever the hell you want. As an (amateur arborist) with your help from watching your videos i just cut down 5 large oak trees that were leaning towards my house. 19" to 27". Large for a milwaukee chainsaw! Now i had to use a jack, wedges, and some extra pull from my rider but i got the job done. I did hire a company to drop 3 trees that needed to be limbed out. 37" base was too much for what i can do. Glad to see you back posting. Been needing this.

You did a great job. As an arborist and chainsaw users I'm wondering are you up for a collaboration talking about chainsaw maintenance? Hipa supplies chainsaw parts and chains, maybe we could collaborate to share more tips on chainsaw using and maintenance?

Keep in mind they always look SMALL in videos. And from a Short distance a tree looks EASY... Stand under it and look up then you can see what your dealing with. So i know that was a MONSTER of a tree when it looks huge in the video.

been cutting trees with my dad for years i never used ropes too much to control the falls so its crazy watching how yall controll exactly where you want it to drop n stuff we kinda just toss in a general safe area and have everyone on the floor stand clear until the cutter is tired so he gets a break and floor crew cleans up

Hey Corey, appreciate all the info and good content. I've got a saw question for ya. I've had an MS 291 and it doesn't oil the bar/chain nearly enough while cutting firewood. I know it doesn't have an adjustment for the oiler but was hoping you had any tips or tricks to get it flowing better. I've been running the Stihl bio oil since it's thinner, it helped a bit but not enough.
@Human1337
@Human1337 9 месяцев назад
Could be as simple as a clogged filter, you inevitably get chips in the oil while filling the tank, maybe give it a check.

I did see Oscar!! Couple of Wright crews from Amren utility in Missouri were there. Not quite as big of a presence as I’d hoped but still pretty good day. Big silver maple & pin oak by the entrance I removed, then walker tree got 7 other pin oaks pruned from the elevator bucket truck.

Do you use tree gaffs or pole gaffs? Saw a video recently where a climber said pole gaffs changed his perspective on tree work from feeling like was climbing on stilts to feeling like he was walking up a tree. Just curious what your experience has been.
@Human1337
@Human1337 11 месяцев назад
I hate tree gaffs, pretty much stick to pole, feet are closer to the tree and you can use your toes more easily for balance.

Why wouldn't a company want their name spread all over social media? Great FREE advertising. DUH! You're looking healthy and glad to see you making man glitter. Stay safe young man.
@FishFind3000

Because of doing goofy things. Like calling other coworkers “fuck face” right next to the company truck and logo… doesn’t look the best for advertising. Makes them seem unprofessional. Also if employees are doing anything that can constitute an osha violation it shows the company and the employee very clearly.

There’s some blurring software that is used by government agencies to blur body cam footage that removes the frame by frame labor of manual blurring of things. I have no idea what it costs, but it may make small work of getting rid of company logos in your editing.
@FishFind3000
@FishFind3000 Год назад
I know they have that stuff already in adobe premier pro but it just takes lots of processing time and you have to make sure you don’t miss any and that the software doesn’t mess up.
