That's actually not the "Diana on TV" I was referring to at the end of this episode :P. Diana was on the news in 2007, in September 2009 she was briefly shown on a TV series.

US, here. I always grew up calling it a binky, but I cant remember if that's a common nickname, or just another official name for it.

Oh wow, sounds quite different in the US. In Australia you MUST complete year 10 before you are allowed to drop out and not complete year 11 and 12. I did year 11, but didn't do year 12 due to RSI, instead I went to TAFE and became and Early Childhood Educator for OAC, so yea I skipped the worst (12th year) for Australia, but I guess if it were the US, the 12th year isn't really that necessary or hard compared to year/grade 11.

I found year 12 quite enjoyable actually. Not sure if that was just me or if that's a common thing 🤔

My idea with that is to make that episode when I create the pre-official archive folder within the archive series itself, it would be a good lead on to the special Pre-archive episode. The only issue is that I can't remember at what point I created the folder and placed the old footage in. It wasn't in 2008-2009, it happened later and I can't remember if I filmed it or not. So, for the mean time, I'll keep working on this series in the hope I come across a video talking about the pre-official archive. The other issues I've got is that I don't think I'd be able to fit it all in a single episode... so, that's also kind of tough to decide how to split it up.

Early December 2019 is my guess. The schedule is all messed up due to Diana being held up with the renovations. That's the main reason this series exists right now, it doesn't need Diana and it's something unique too :)

Yea, I believed school would be a relic of the past, and with Elon Musk's current work on Neuralink which can read and write data directly to the brain, school MIGHT completely disappear in the future. I'm thinking maybe a few basic years for young children might be necessary in order to learn about the experience of working with others and forming relationships with people, but University courses and so on would be rendered obsolete with this new technology.

The Opera singing moment played back to my dad a few weeks ago when the episode was in the planning stages made him turn red with embarrassment. He didn't believe that moment really happened, he thought I edited it in somehow.

One copy is stored on my main PC and the other copy is on an external backup drive, unplugged and in my draw. It has no network connections to ensure it can't be infected by ransomware that spreads over the network.

Never, these were just for personal memories and a line of communication for family members living a couple hundred years in the future.

I'm time lagging, the goal is to hold this PC for as long as possible (5th year so far) so by the time I get my next PC, it's specs will be similar, but the PC will be under $1,000.

I'll number the answers to your questions for simplicity ;) 1. I still make a video at least once every two days, there's been the occasional "2nd day forgotten" but there's always been at least 15 videos per month. I was 14 when I started my archive, and honestly, think about the videos, is anything interesting really happening? It's the way I've put it together that makes it seem more interesting that it was. The good thing about 2019 is most teens have a smartphone which means you can record your videos on that. Literally, anywhere you are, press record and capture the moment. Whether it's a car trip to school, a visit to your grandparents house, just, anything. I mean, think of me, I had a webcam and 95% of videos were filmed in my room. Just talking and showing certain things to the camera. Even just eating a meal and pressing record to capture the table conversations... It's not interesting now, but a decade later when life is so different... that's when the videos actually become interesting. Always take the videos off your phone and store them on the computer though, and back it up as often as possible so you don't lose it ;) 2. Renovations are never ending, I've been making videos of the progress and putting them in the archive. Most videos these days in the archive are Jasmine unboxing toys, me filming animals such as echidnas and wallabies I spot on my walks and of course, the renovations. 3. In the early days of OSFirstTimer, or maybe some other channel... referring to my mum as "Mum" made people leave a lot of comments about it making the videos feel "cringy". The videos started seeming more professional when I referred to her as "Diana" and it also gave her a name that other people could use in comments and so on. So, in real life I call them mum and dad, but if I ever suspect a video might go online, It's "Ben" and "Diana".

A lot of survey websites these days pay you to read emails and answer questions and so on. As they pay with Paypal, you can always use this money to buy whatever prize you want off ebay or amazon etc... Some websites even have software you can download that pays you a few cents per month just for running it in the background of your pc which has it doing minor processing work for companies and so on. I'd only have your PC running with the software in the background if you actually use it though, otherwise the computer power bill may be more than your earnings.

There were potential copyright take-down issues with Microsoft due to using their graphics for their operating systems in my game.

And by used to I mean he died, and then I got his phone, and that is how I know.

The excitement of no longer being an only child made it all worth it, but, I don't think I could handle the baby stage again now, especially after all my Early Childhood Educator years. Anything over 3 years old is awesome, but I've looked after and written too many development logs for under 3's in my lifetime :P
