Due to school holidays I'm unable to get an OSFT Archive video out (Episode 16, August) so while you wait yet another 2 weeks (I know, this sucks) for the August episode, here is just a little video I made when we got our peacock and peahen (wasn't really meant to be uploaded, but, meh, here you go :P)
These birds will be kept for about 2 months in an enclosure before being let free into our yard once they feel it's home (so they don't fly away). Just skip to around 6:30 if you don't want to see the footage of us driving there and struggling to find the place while getting angry at each other.

Skip to 6:30 if you want to go straight to when we actually arrive, but if you want to watch some funny fights and frustration on the way, watch from the beginning :) Also, forgot to mention that I no longer own an AX100 anymore, haven't had it for months now, it was too bulky to carry around and manage so unfortunately this does mean a decrease in audio and visual quality (as you've probably noticed in this video and a few others).

You should get a Lumix GX7. Same quality as your AX100 and it can fit in your pocket.

This video ended abruptly the same way it started!! You must have been in a hurry when you edited it. I was expecting the peacock to get scared and jump out of your mom's hands into the house. Loved it when the chicken ran to you.

A few things are holding it back at the moment, mainly the renovations but also a few software issues. It's most likely to return very late in the year (decemeber).

Yea, they are super heavy too! At night time birds are much easier to handle and pat :)

I actually know a few people who have peacocks, and just know they're a lot of trouble lmao. And on top of that, you did it on July 4th! If you were in America that would be a heck of a celebration! lol

Yea, here in Australia, the 4th of July is nothing... (but I understand it means a great deal in the US). Even our own equivalent "Australia Day" on the 26th of January is not celebrated as much as your July 4th. I believe the fact that the indigenous people of Australia (aboriginals) taking offence to the date Australia day is celebrated (they call it invasion day) is one of the reasons it's not as big of a celebration.

We've gotten used to it. A couple days ago our Uncle from Sydney came down and said he was so cold here, but we looked at him like... meh, it's not really that cold. That being said, I personally found Sydney way too hot, even though I grew up there. In Tasmania, there's literally been only 2 unbearable hot days in the last year, yet in Sydney, almost every summer day was unbearable. It really depends on your own preferences and what you are personally used to.

I'm a learner driver and thus anytime we go out, I use the opportunity to practice driving. I just swapped with my dad at the end (I drove for almost an hour before the video even started) due to the poor road conditions and so I could film the argument :P EDIT: Just realized I didn't answer the question! Basically my dad's car is really special to him and he'd kill me if something happened to it. I've never had any crash while driving, not a scratch, never hit the gutter etc... however, just to be safe, we take my mum's car instead.

I understand it’s been three years since you made this comment, there’s no need to pointed out. That was mist though you, as you could hear the water hitting the windshield. Mist is a thing and it is different from fog.
