This are the moments that make Oshi No Ko for me, honestly i dont care for the revenge plot, but seeing all this different people from the entertainment industry and their inner conflicts and the way all is portrayed, its amazing!
I’m not protecting the Kamoshida guy, but i kinda get him. It’s like you’ve been in acting for so long you try acting the most you can do for staying in this circle, but then there’s one guy who’s obliviously suck at acting but get the job because there’re some higher-up support him to get here. It can’t help you would have biased toward that guy. But at least he have actor eyes to realize Melt’s improvement and give him respecting for that.
The thing is what actually triggered the 22 y.o. adult to get all pissy and be a dick all around was when he was cockblocked going after 16 y.o. girls, he got called out for being actively unprofessional (melt is 16 himself so he likely didn't even think about the age part), which was a matter of fact, so he started harassing the kid. If it happened after Melt ruined a scene because of his acting that would be one thing, still a shitty and inherently unprofessional thing to do to someone 6 years younger than you, but it happening because of this just makes it worse.
@@D1i1s1 yeah ik like im not saying hes good person bc he’s really being a dick for that 😂 just talk about the part that could make him blame melt than look at the fact that his action was really not pro.
@@D1i1s1 Yeah but to be fair there he did say that if a professional actor he respected told him that he wouldn't have minded. People kind of stare a lot at the cockblock but when you really think of it from his viewpoint he pretty much got told to be more professional by someone he views only got the job due to nepotism and he feels like is an active demerit to his job that he obviously takes seriously given how good he is. So I can totally see why he'd tell him off over that. So I kind of think people overplay how much of that was him mad about Melt getting in his way. Because from his internal narration he never really talks about being mad Melt interfered with Minami. Only about Melt being a shitty actor so that feels more like the trigger event for him instead of the full reason.
@@moalboris239 "You are bad at X so it doesn't matter how scummy and disgusting I am you have no right to call me out" is a really scummy and stupid attitude to have. A 22 y.o. man got pissy for getting called out by a 16 y.o. kid for being unprofessional, when he was trying to pick up and fuck 16 y.o. girls that could lead to problems for their jobs. He was factually really unprofessional all around, both in trying to get into Ruby and Minami's pants and in his attitude towards Melt after it and there is no way around that fact. Melt's acting skill doesn't have any bearing on how unprofessional he was being. Like he doesn't even make the top 3 of the best actors in this play, who all never had any attitude like that towards Melt. He should get of his high horse and stop trying to fuck teenagers and family members of his colleagues if he can't live with being called out. Especially considering he just got outshined by Melt on stage even if only for a minute, a minute that was the climax of Melts character and what the audience will remember of him.
They do look cool, but I'm torn because as a sword nerd they make no sense at all. Better than Inosuke's swords though, which I imagine are the inspiration.
As a manga reader, in my opinion anime is better than manga. Now... Taking that into account... I can't imagine how will next episode look. I can't wait
@@redmustangredmustang we can't really discuss details but about current state in the manga I just don't want drama anymore I just want them to be happy. This chapter was nice and wholesome. Exactly what I needed. I want at least two more wholesome chapters to recharge after what we went through a few chapters back.
@@grecus4449 we got that "nice" chapter 2 weeks ago. That really now another break. You, I , and everyone knows that it's the calm before the storm. Just like with the "dance" in Love is War.
@@redmustangredmustang yeah, most likely. Funny thing about "love is war" is that I haven't read the manga and oshinoko spoiled me one thing about how it ends XD
Holy Sakuga... The animation this episode went CRAZY, and Melt's backstory and comeback were actually super hard hitting for me. Easily the best episode of the season so far.
Dogo Kobo Cooked Big time! This might be one of the best episodes this season because: Literally puts acting methods in competition of who does it the best in real time, shows the types of immersion from a developing standpoint, makes the distinction clear between methods. For instance, Kamoshida really did do a great job showing the practical aesthetic technique from the jump, but Melt's build up clearly referenced Uta Hagen's Transferrence Technique based on the experiences we as readers/viewers know he implemented. It's also the reason why episode 5 was essential because Aqua in some sense would have possibly gone through a trial to define what his true acting talent is.
This proves that Doga Kobo is one animation studio to watch out for. And this proves that Melt is more than just a pretty face. He will go far as an actor.
Oshi no ko is one of only few anime which look better than manga animated the animation in oshi no ko is beautiful, the art is amazing, the story telling is out of the world
The crazy trip scene actually shows a lot of symbolism concerning Melt's journey. He lives life carefree, coasting on his looks. Then his world breaks, he sees a star, Aqua and Kana's acting, and it makes him realize what he was lacking. His world becomes more grounded, less cartoonish, as he chases the star. He remakes himself, changing in many ways. Blood, sweat and tears. All to put his effort into one scene, his character is pushed back, loses, but Melt could finally accept some level of his acting and be relieved he did something good. Doga Kobo put in the lessons from the story itself, anime is a medium that can express more than a manga can in some ways. Why just put into words Melt's journey? Show it. Paint it. Animate it.
I think this episode might've just made Melt my favorite character. Also, now I watch a real Tokyo Blade manga. The story of the play seems a lot like Kagurabachi.
i sobbed for approximately 15 minutes after this episode. 🧍🧍🧍🧍 while looking at fan content for this anime a year ago, i accidentally found out that this melt guy wasnt just a shitty background character and that he has his own arc and character development. i got curious so i read the chapter this episode adapted and he's been one of my favorite characters ever since, even if that was the only oshi no ko manga chapter ive ever read ive been waiting about a year for my boy to finally have his moment animated and its finally here and they did him so well i cant believe how good they did him i cant stress enough how incredible and beautiful and how much i love this episode ive legit never cried out of happiness before i never expected that this anime would bring this emotion out of me even when i knew my own excitement towards this episode but im STILL bawling my eyes out ive only found my passion for acting a few months ago, and i forgot a lot about this chapter of the manga because i refused to look back at it so i can relive it all through the anime. melts character and his story both before entering the showbiz and after and his passion and hardworking nature just spoke out to me so much it rlly does feel like i see myself in him that just added more to my crying 💔💔 narushima melt ily im your biggest fan 🔥🔥‼️‼️😭😭 THANK YOU AKA AKASAKA FOR CREATING HIM 🙏🙏 (if yall see this comment on other reactors' videos then shhhhhh i just wanna share my love for this character LMFOAOAO 🙌🙌)
As I see it, Sakuya didn't think Melt was taking acting seriously. He seems to have a grudge against pretty faces getting parts that should be given to young, hard-working actors like him because of the nepotism of executives. He's not a good guy but I can see where all that bitterness is coming from, and I think the moment Melt showed him he was serious, he found respect for him. I hope they can become good buddies now!!
