While not in the swishy warm-up pant sideways visor era of Yosiris my absolute favorite part is from Subject to Change with Louie Barletta and Jerry Hsu. The song, the skating. 10/10.

They actually have some really good skate shoes that aren't neon colored high tops! haha. I've tried almost all of their pro models since 2010 and my all time favorite was the Caswell Berry VLC.

I had a pair of grey D3 shoes with the blue eyelets on the sides. At first I thought they were weird as hell looking but they grew on me and ended up loving them. Built like tanks.

Gnarly dude, had a variety of skaters that influenced him and I thought wow that's cool to push so hard and be so down to earth. Also I think a limo repurposed into a rv would a great win over me.

dude, we texted real short a few days before. I just wanted to let you know that what you're doing is rad. So interesting to get all this information about those brands. I skateboarded every day between the ages 11 and 22 and would have loved to know all this stuff. Now it actually motivates me to jump back on track and get shredding

I never learned how to skateboard but that doesn't mean I didn't follow the culture! I've ALWAYS loved my Osiris shoes! Only pair of D3's I owned were the D3 high tops, but I've rocked pairs of NYC 83's over time and just picked up my latest pair last week. VERY durable shoes even to this day! And, for medical reasons, also VERY roomy for diabetics, such as myself.

Dave Coyne’s Storm part has aged very well. Thrasher did a feature of the Storm-era team a few years back that was solid too. Brandon Turner, perennially next-level.

I have to say my favorite Osiris rider was Josh Kasper. In my opinion, the dude was a genius. He has even admitted to only really know a couple of tricks. If you can make a career in skateboarding with only a couple of tricks, hats off to you.

Jerry Hsu, Brandon Turner, and Peter Smolik are my favorites. Osiris and eS were my favorite shoe brands back then. I bought a couple of pairs of Osiris shoes a few years ago, I still like them.

The Shuriken Shannon is my favorite skate shoe ever made, I really wish they'd make a shoe similar to that again

My favorite shoes were the DEFCON 2 I had back in 2002/2003. Of course they were chunky and tech’d out with padding and rubber bits. Next favorite were the Adio Kenny Anderson. I skated the hell out of those til the sole was disconnecting from the upper.

Had the Smolik's. They actually skated pretty good. The velcro at the back had a patch to cover it and your pants could just tuck in.

I remember Christmas 2001 my first pair of skate shoes were the Nos Osiris Targa Mathias Ringstrom shoes, the padding on the tongue of the shoe was absurd but super comfy. It seems a bit silly now but at the time it was the moment I actually felt like I was finally becoming a real skater along with my Steve Caballero Brigade board I had at the time, do you guys remember that now defunct SkateOne brand?

Caswell Berry and Jerry Hsu were my favorite riders on Osiris. I was introduced to Caswell Berry at a Toy machine demo at ryans world chapel Hill back in 2002. I had no idea who he was, he was an am at the time. I just remember the demo started and everyone was ripping. Ed Templeton was trying a tre flip to noselide on the hubba and got it after a few tries then another guy I didn't know at the time (caswell) did the same trick and then proceeded to put on his superman outfit and completely annihilated the entire park for an hour. Till this day I still think it's probably the sickest skating I've witnessed in person. He turned pro for another company shortly after (enjoi maybe? Can't exactly remember) but I was always a fan of that dude after that day

Currently I am in possession of I do not know how many pairs of Osiris shoes but am 100% certain 2 pairs if them are D3s', an all white and black/camo... All the way in Sweden... The videos are awesome... 😎

the storm was pretty crazy flip in and out of grinds and slides. before that video you saw flip in or flip out of slides and grinds but not both in the same trick.

It's crazy no one ever mentions the white/dark navy(looks black in the video) osiris hiker that dropped right before the storm..one of the sickest looking models they put out and its worn by every rider on the team for like 90% of that video..they had the little shortys wave logo looking patch on the side that at the time looked dope(always wondered if smolik and lil b had something to do with that)..have never once heard them mentioned which is crazy cause the team obviously loved em just go back and watch the storm..i had a pair back in the day and they were sick..but it's like they never existed.

Crazy shit I remember just being a kid with my shortys back pack and mark appleyard circas that I thought were next level. My friend had that Osiris backpack and we would take it snowboarding. Drinking old Englishes. Dam. The 90’s early 2k’s were lit 🔥 my favorite deck to ride back then was shorty’s . But then later loved buying blanks. Who remember the shorty’s cereal decks and they got in trouble Over it or something.

I had like 6 different pairs of the ali series wish they never stopped with that shoe.

I've worn mostly Etnies, occasionally a pair of DC, the last couple decades but my wife loves Osiris D3 2001 more than God. She's had a pair as long as we've known each other and I buy her a new pair every couple years or so.

I swear I used to have a pair of Osiris with a stash tongue and the logo on the heel was Velcro so you could stop your baggy jeans going under your heels but was over 20 years ago so it might have been another company. Of all the things I've loved and lost in this life I miss my es Eric Koston 1's the most.

i bought the first colorway that came out the white and navy d3 was a cool puffy shoe until everyone started getting them, my were still mint in 2008 and i gave them away to goodwill. wish i wouldve known i gave away 6 pairs of good condition koston 1 6 and 7 and several other pairs of shoes.

When I was a kid growing up in the late 90s getting into skateboarding my parents wouldn't buy me any nice skateboard shoes only payless airwalk shoes but all my friends parents would get them the sickest skate shoes so I ended up usually just rocking their hand me down shoes and boards. My best friend gave me a pair of pretty beat up D3s and they were the sickest thing ever. I remember thinking I looked so sick in them LMAO

My first pair of Osiris shoes were the Osiris D3, navy blue and yellow. Paid like 120 dollars for them in 2000 or 2001. Big fat and puffy shoes that were ugly as hell looking back on them lol. But they are the shoes I learned how to kick flip in.

So, here's a little sneaky knowledge that I'm almost sure you wouldn't know. In 2001/02, when I was in about the 6th or 7th grade, I was reading this teen oriented series about a skater in Queensland, Australia. I think there was three or four books, and the titular character was Alex Jackson. While they weren't exactly cheesy or trying to hard, they did, for the most part, just use generic skate lingo of the time and made up pros. However, the Osiris D3 got mentioned by name at one point. From memory it wad the only legit skate product to make it into the series. He talks about how expensive they are (they retailed for about $230 here in Australia), and they're a serious skate shoe, and how he normally just skate in tennis shoes. So, there you go, the fifteenth thing people probably didn't know about Orisis.
