Ekaterina (Yekaterina) Osmolkina and Mikhail Lobukhin in Diana and Acteon pas de deux. This is my favourite version of this pas de deux. Mariinsky (Kirov), Ballet Gala in Japan, 2007.
Mikhail Lobukhin is without a doubt the most virile dancer I have ever seen. His Spartacus is a stunner. He may not be the most graceful dancer in the world, but he's hot as hell!
Only who loooooove cats has a heart to remember the rest of the world and gift us with such a amazing , fantastic incredible wonder like this video. I thank you very very much and.....I looovvveeee cats too.
@tutus4life She was injured for a half year, if not more, but I've heard that she's revovered now. But still she doesn't dance, at least in Mariinsky. I've read she refused to dance some performances in Mariinsky and danced somewhere as a guest.
Thank you for posting this. It brings so much pleasure each time I play it. This is a piece in which both the female and male dancers are superb. Usually I do not notice the male. He is there to provide support, make sure she doesn't fall over. But this guy is astonishing. Tarzan meets Diana.. And, the music! I had never even heard of this ballet before. Sometimes it sounds like Minkus, but it is by someone named Drigo?
Really?!!! It seems like so many people from the Mariinsky make the move to the Bolshoi for some reason. Perhaps it is the right decision for him, but Andrei Merkuriev also left and doesn't seem to get as many roles there. But good luck to him whether he goes or stays.
