We've been doing this method for about two week 3 maul 2 unique for iron 1 tbow unique for iron 8 arcane 6 dex 1 anc top unique for iron 1 dhcb 1 buckler This is really cracked i can never go back
@gitgudatgaming I think you need at least one person with shadow and one person with scythe. I've done a 3+12 where the hybrid was using a sang staff and I know that they hardly switched to meele because we could hardly keep up. Towards the end with everyone pretty much having max gear, everyone is usually pretty low on supplies and we barely make any mistakes. Lot of it just depends on RNG and how much olm jads you
Hey pecan, thank you for sharing this immaculate video for the community!! Can you kindly share the tile markers for these? I believe that would help many of us trying to learn this optimally. Thanks!
Hey, glad you like it! I'm afraid the tile markers at cox are different depending on the layout, if you turn on the 'low detail' plugin then it will make the edges of rooms clearer and hopefully it's easier to see which tiles you need to use
@@pecanbread11 Thank you for your reply - we managed to complete it with relative ease, but it took us 1 hour and 20 minutes (sangs/ no mega rares). You mentioned tightrope has the same layout, however the raid we completed the rangers were not safespottable? Any idea?
@@TheBappi5 that's strange, the tightrope room is always the same layout (except in a challenge mode), so the tiles are always the same and you can always set them up like in the video. I'm guessing you must have been doing something wrong, if you can send me a screenshot of it I could tell you if it's right or not?
@@pecanbread11 Yep, you're right, the latter was indeed the case lol. Sorry to keep asking questions, regarding mystics, I noticed you effortlessly managed to get them all to aggro you with meele and not switch to mage, am I assuming the SW tile is the key to ensure they're going to continue meeleing? Thanks again for you time and wisdom!
@TheBappi5 no problem at all! Yeah basically keep mage prayer on the whole time, and move so that they have line of sight of you without any corners in the way. The SW tile isn't important here, it just need to have an unobstructed view of you. Once it starts meleeing you it won't mage again unless you go out of view of it (including stepping under)
If I'm gonna be mage DPS and I don't have a twisted bow, but I have DHCB and Buckler mixed with a ZCB, how many pots should I be taking into olm? Also, would you bother specing with ZCB throughout the raid or just ice barrage the entire time? Also, thanks again for putting out this guide. I've been hunting for 4 items at cox and I hope to get them using this method.
I'd take the same pots as shown in the vid, you can sneak the buckler in for free since it's an off-hand and the setup in the vid has you just taking in a 2h weapon. Zcb speccing is something you can do during rooms for sure - just be careful to not attack the main target at rope (you want the front mob to die last if possible or the lure will break). And make sure you're on longrange for shamans or I believe you'll get dragged into range!

for the shaman im pretty sure they jump faster if you're not at their melee range, i've learned that after dying a couple times waiting for them to jump. I will try this method with my iron friends, they're far from having bis tho, we'll see if trident/bowfa/lance are enough to survive olm.
@@gitgudatgaming i'd say 1 scythe 1 shadow is a minimum , you can do without but it can get tricky , that's about it you can downgrade to the next best thing for all
If you're a main account, then yeah the alt can drop pots for you to pick up - then you can absolutely do this with tridents and lances and bowfa. If you're an ironman then you won't be able to pick up pots, but it will still be doable with that gear, as long as you're not making loads of mistakes!
Hello again. Just wanted to come back and say thanks again. We've been getting consistent 50 min raids now. Do you ever use the alt and chin everything to death or just to take/maintain aggro?
I think the percentage on hands is in the CoX QoL plugin - I've just updated it to show the actual hps now instead of percentages which makes tracking the cripples a bit easier. And yes - it's 5% of hand hp in any scale :)
@@pecanbread11 What plugin do you use to show the actual hp instead of percentage? On the CoX Additions plugin I only see hp% are you using a different one?
So Shaman lure #3 made me waste a lot of time. There was always one shaman that was not able to stay dd with the other shamans. I notice when you go south to safespot, my shaman box lure I have to run north. I'm not sure if that makes a different or not with the npc's southwest tile being different. So far ive done two with the team and trying to figure out the tiles every single times sucks but definitely getting better at it
The only thing I can recommend is stepping out from under the shamans on the tick the last one jumps, then the others won't have the opportunity to move at all as the jumping shaman's hit box remains there for 1 more tick before becoming transparent
Do you know how to do megas and if so can we get a guide on that? :D I've been running 1+30 and recently started 2+29 and I feel like we could be more efficient
I think duo megascales are inherently worse due to head turning mechanics on olm. The rooms should be done the same way as in this guide but olm will always be janky in a duo. I've done a 1+22 on iron but it sort of caps there as you can only bring so many stamina potions in
Is it necessary to spell book swap to thralls for olm? Just thinking if you were sending these all day you would eventually run out of swaps on the mage cape. I assume it’s still doable without the thralls?
@@ShaneFalco you want the mager to have thralls to ensure head turning, but the meleer can stay on ancients if you're planning to send loads. We generally rotate roles if we send a lot so that we can get 15 raids out of our 5 spellbook swaps each!
@@ShaneFalco if the mager doesn't have them, then olm will occasionally not turn to the mage side and you'll take some special attacks - not the end of the world if you have enough supplies to deal with that, so up to you whether or not they take them
Would this be worth doing as a 4+11 with my GIM team? We are prestige so we wouldn't have any alts but we have been throwing the idea around of trying bigger scales (currently we do 4+3) but we were unsure if the extra head phases at Olm would be worth the points or not.
If im doing 1+6's with my gim alts, would you still recommend bursting the mystics and tightrope and such? or would it be faster to regular bowfa them?
@@tuckermcdonald1220 I'd dps calc it, work out the barrage dps on one mystic (without salve) and multiply that by the number of mystics in your raid. Then compare that to the dps of bowfa-ing one mystic at a time!
How long did it take you to get consisten 45 minutes raid We are currently running 28 mins cm with avg of 43k per person so unless we can get close to 45/50 min per raid this might be similar point per hour
We've done a 3+20 with all irons, but it's reliant on either all prayer flicking and gear switching while tanking olm hits, or else you need sang+blood fury in order to not run out of supplies
Unfortunately duo scales are very fiddly on olm, you can't guarantee the head turning like you can in trio plus. You also need 3 people for all of the mystic lures unfortunately.
Does melee DPS need to always dodge flame wall? Also everyone dodges flame wall in head phase? I gotta get my ironman friends in on this method. Gotta get them to get 99 magic first tho
It's helpful to dodge it but you don't have to! The hybrid role stays on ancients since they're hitting both hands (so thralls would be half as good), then they're able to free anyone from flame walls! Melee role can go without thralls if needed, it's best if the mage has thralls though, since it helps with turning the head :)
Heyo, I found a way to tank the "weird" east-west mystic layout. Simply stand behind the big rock near the entrance and make sure you don't accidentally drag the mystic around the corner.
You can definitely lure them there, but getting them stacked up is quite tricky - I've been dragging them all the way to the end of the room in order to stack them up for chinning/barraging on this one now!
Can you do that method if you have ran out of cape switch Hybrid method also seems to be heavy on APM , how realistic is it to camp 1 style or the other for a while?
Yeah for sure, as long as the mager has thralls then that's the main thing (to help head turn) so swapping who's on that role can help to keep enough cape switches. Hybrid is the most intense method - it's definitely reasonable to camp one style then the other. I generally camp mage early until all hammers/mauls have been hit, then I'll melee for a while after my bgs hits until it gets low enough for me to camp mage hand again until the end of the phase!
I'd also say that the hybridder can just camp piety, and take fewer switches for mage as well - as augury isn't a huge buff (though is definitely more than before!)
@@gitgudatgaming yeah thralls do count for head turning. It's quite important to guarantee it yeah, melee can drop thralls so only one cape swap is used per run, and people can rotate roles :)
@@MikeStar21 we set it up 2-3 mains with 2-3 irons. need main accs to drop an invy of supplies in each at olm. irons bring 3 ovls 2 enh and 3 stams. irons run head and bring eith max melee range or max melee range (that they own). hands die at the same time. its an est 740k points. depends if we send mutta in the raid. double loot chance is at 570k plus so its 65% chance of one and a 21% chance of 2nd. Almost forgot: we alt the raid with an additional 4 accs to maintain better speed (theyre not fast)
Monster Hp Percentage -> Ba-Ba, Nex, Callisto, The Maiden of Sugadinti, Sotetseg, Akkha, The Leviathan, Artio, Great Olm (right claw) , Great Olm (left claw),
@@fullmetaldudie for sure, you'll just need to fiddle with the gear setups a bit so one person can bring in shayzien armour. Makes the most sense on the mager as they can drop some melee switches without too much impact
You can definitely do this with worse gear! These are just example setups for max efficiency. I'd definitely give it a go if you have at least a lance!
damn only need a shadow a lance or a scythe, we dont have either of those in our GIM and also nobody has 99 magic yet either to spellbook swap. But will get back to this eventually i guess
No - chins are a lot better, but not worth catching on an Ironman. If you're a main it's definitely worth buying them to use instead. If you do that you can also spec the defence levels down on one of the mobs, and then chin that one so that the chins roll off their defence for all mobs in the stack.
"don't need max gear" proceeds to show max gear setups worth 4b +. LUL This shit looks like such a waste of time lmfao. There is no way you're getting 130k points an hour. You can just duo and do 3 raids in 1 hour for 55-60k points per raid and 30k per person to roughly 90k per hour per person. This is just nonsense and way too much effort.
Great video, but honestly I'm immediately turned off by the fact you say it's "for ironmen" but all 3 accounts are in max gear in all styles. Feels fairly misleading. Like I can understand having max combats, but max gear? all styles? all 3 accounts? This seems like a ridiculous expectation, and at that point why mention it's good for ironmen at all when it doesn't matter anymore with that gear, and you may as well just title the video "Easy 3+12, max gear"
The 3 setups are all max gear, but that's just meant to be the ideal setups - you only really need everyone to have barrage gear, then one person with good mage gear for olm, one person with good melee gear for olm, and one person with okay gear to hybrid - it means that if you're missing 1/2 good items in any style then you can still do these raids without missing out. If you have a shadow but no tbow/scythe then you can be mage role. Similarly if you have a scythe then melee role is good. And you definitely don't need max gear - most of the raids I've been doing have one person with a shadow and one person with a lance, and they're not much slower at all!
130 k per hour? Scouting for a perf layout prob adds 10 mins. So its ish 100k an hour. Or u run solo cms, have more fun, in 35 mins, no scouting downtime and get 120 k an hour. This method is dogwater. To much effort for no cookie.
So 35 minute cms would be 103k points per hour. For scouting, if you scout on 3 accounts plus the alt immediately after the raid, it takes an average of 5 minutes exactly to get one of the good scouts, which if you include in the time per raid makes it 50 minutes for ~97k points, or 117k points per hour. But to be be more efficient you can leave the raid on your alt while you're in olm, which gives you around 20 minutes to scout on it, and on average it takes 20 minutes to find a scout on a single account. So overall the scouting time ends up being much lower than you think!
Your guide is so bad. You did not show a shadow in the thumbnail but you had "very afk". This is insanely bad I JUST got my trident and wanted to go with my gim team to do some awesome scaled chambers. HOWEVER, its YOUR fault our team disbanded because we kept dying. On top of that, my wife is now mad at me for yelling at the computer for 2 hours and we only got like 1700 points. Thumbs down.
